Your Opportunity

As a key member of the sales team, you’ll work closely with an Account Manager developing sales opportunities within a defined geographical and/or horizontal territory.   These responsibilities will range in scope from supporting inbound leads, customer trials, and outbound prospecting within the defined territory.   You will be responsible for providing hands on product overviews demonstrating the feasibility of the Informatica Cloud platform and how we solve a customer's specific challenges.  You will assist the customer and/or prospect in executing a trial success plan while educating them about the product capabilities.  A team of highly experienced technical specialists will be available to assist you in more complex scenarios, as well as our Global Customer Support team, who can assist with product support issues affecting customers during evaluations.

You fuse your sales skills with strong product expertise to overcome objections and generate highly qualified sales opportunities.  You have some exposure or familiarity with SaaS Applications (Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, etc.), Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and/or Operational systems such as Oracle Financials, SAP Financials, Seibel or similar.

You excel in a fast-paced environment, exceeding goals and leading your team to do the same. When something isn’t working, you shift gears quickly, coming up with a new approach and renewed energy to tackle any challenge. It’s understood that your communication skills are effective, and you are poised and confident when making presentations.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline and forecast goals as well as other defined objectives.  You will contact customers and prospects daily via phone and email to identify and manage leads and opportunities through the early sales stages. You’ll work closely with the sales staff to qualify and prove opportunities for Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI). Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Qualify and further develop warm leads by performing custom, end-user requirements analyses.
  • Prepare and present solutions leveraging the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) Platform
  • Remotely demonstrate Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI) solutions to prospective customers
  • Respond to Customer Requests for Information on Informatica Cloud products
  • Execute targeted outbound campaigns within assigned territories designed to generate trial product downloads
  • Record daily sales activities in our CRM system to track interactions with prospects and customers
  • Understand sales targeting including, talk-time/dial, funnel contribution, revenue and pipeline creating targets
  • Provide updates and reporting on forecasting and other sales activities such as pipeline development and active deals as part your regular reporting duties                  

Your Qualifications

  • College degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Sales/Lead Generation experience
  • Experience in ETL, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence highly desired.
  • Stong business acumen when dealing with business and technical evaluators
  • Knowledge of navigating business organization structures, buying influences and purchasing processes
  • Computer skills and aptitude required
