This is a new role which looks to work closely with the APJ Solution Specialist Lead.

We engage as domain experts in strategic projects and deals to position data as a C-Level topic and support field teams to increase our value proposition and demonstrate the criticality of Informatica’ s portfolio to our customer’s success. Your Opportunity

 

This position requires a dynamic sales professional with a strong supply chain and consulting background to be the regional expert and thought leader. Extensive experience in industries such as manufacturing, retail and distribution is critical, with exposure to other related industries such as CPG, logistics or automotive seen as beneficial. The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with senior management of both Business and IT to explain how data can drive better business outcomes. Essential to this role is the ability to understand the client’s business and explain to them how Informatica’s data management solutions can help them become market leaders. You are adept at identifying and understanding business challenges and requirements to develop functional solutions, and then work with our product specialists to determine the technical solution based on the Informatica platform.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Understand the role data plays in driving digital transformation across organisations.
• Have a good knowledge of trends and challenges in the above-mentioned industries.
• Possess strong consulting skills - preferably with experience working in major business or management consulting firms.
• Work closely with technical and architecture teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
• Have end-to-end understanding of the full product lifecycle from the manufacturing supply chain through to omni-channel distribution and sale to end consumer
• Work collaboratively with a geographically diverse team of both colleagues and external partners.
• Be a motivated individual able to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Make data driven decisions.

Responsibilities

 

• Understand the business models, concepts, roles, terminology, key systems and processes used in the above-mentioned industries and leverage this knowledge to develop and position solutions based on Informatica’s data management platform.
• Create sales collateral, presentations, whitepapers and blog posts, to support the positioning of these solutions
• Structure, develop and execute customer workshops and presentations covering both business and technical topics.
• Investigate industry relevant topics and concepts such as Supply Chain Optimisation, Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, Blockchain and Omni-channel distribution to identify how Informatica's data management tools can be used to complement or address them.
• Develop functional and technical solutions with wider Informatica teams to enable clients to resolve business issues.

Your Skills and Qualifications 

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding Data Governance as well as skills or experience in any of the following areas: master data management, big data, data quality, data integration, data analytics, business intelligence and cloud computing.
• Experienced and knowledge of industry relevant systems such as – Manufacturing execution system,Product Lifecycle Management, Product Information Management, Supply chain management, Inventory management, Warehouse management, Omni-channel and E-commerce.
• Understand the different motivations and requirements of Business and IT roles.
• Experience working with marketing and business development teams to develop sales messaging, campaigns and events.
• Good business acumen across various industries
• Pre-sales or sales experience is an advantage.
• This position requires excellent, proactive communication skills as you will be managing the flow of information between many different people and organizations both within and outside Informatica.
• Comfortable with heavy travel requirements as this is an APJ role.
• Fluent in English and Japanese
