Staff Engineer / Development Architect   - (Data Discovery, Activity Monitoring)  

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Development Architect to join a highly talented team working on the latest technologies involving BigData/Hadoop, cloud computing, security and encryption in the security industry.

You will act as the Product Visionary and technical evangelist both internally and externally to design and promote the latest cutting-edge solutions to address today’s most demanding security concerns in the highly competitive world of enterprise security, will be reporting into the head of engineering of data security products.

You will work closely with sales, product management and R&D to ensure timely and relevant delivery of your solutions as well as research and identify the latest trends and vulnerabilities in data security and shape the direction of data security products at Informatica.

Your Responsibilities:

As a key member of the data security team your responsibilities will include: 
Performing competitive analysis, market, and industry research and leverage your industry experience to develop new ideas and solutions
Identifying the latest trends and vulnerabilities in data security
Evangelizing the security platform representing Informatica at industry events and with customers, prospects, partners as well as internal groups such as Product Management, R&D, marketing, sales and executives
Working with software engineers to build prototypes that clearly communicate the value of the product, solution or feature
Leveraging technologies and frameworks available commercially or as open source
Contributing to the creation of intellectual property that can be patentable
The willingness to travel (approximately 10-20% both domestic and international) for planning and design meetings held at Informatica offices worldwide

Your Qualifications and Experience:
• Doctorate or Master’s in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Big Data expert with cloud and security skills
• Experience with latest technologies in cloud and security such as PaaS, SasS, Big Data, Hadoop, AWS, Azure and encryption.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutioning, architecture and frameworks. Hands-on.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex, large scale enterprise solutions in a distributed environment.
• Experience in driving the success of both mature, stable products as well as new and innovative product concepts.
• Experience with AI and ML in structured and unstructured data or NLP/NLU is a PLUS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with technology partners, sales, R&D, and the management team are a must
• Proven organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently required.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented; able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team.
• Knowledge on secure development practices 
• Public speaking in front of large and diverse technical audiences
