The Next Generation Analytics Domain Expert team plays a vital role not only with regard to revenue generation, but also with Informatica’s reputation across all industry verticals. Our team is able to connect with both a business and a technical audience to establish the business value of the Informatica Platform and the Next Generation Analytics products in particular. The Informatica sales team as well as Informatica partners rely on the Next Generation Analytics Domain Expert team to quickly establish Informatica’s credibility as a leader in the Big Data market and to solidify our company’s role as the customer’s trusted adviser.
 

Informatica Next Generation Analytics is a suite of industry-leading products that enable our customers to achieve their data management requirements in a Next Generation Analytics environment. Informatica is looking for a subject matter expert to work with the regional and vertical sales teams to communicate the functional and business value of our Next Generation Analytics products to customers, partners and the market at large. This role is essential to helping our customers leverage our Next Generation Analytics products to address key initiatives that drive business value.

Your Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President, Domain Expert Group, you will gain the reputation for being the go-to person and subject matter expert for Next Generation Analytics. You will apply your experience and expertise to communicate not only the value of Next Generation Analytics solutions generally but also Informatica’s unique ability to solve a customer’s Next Generation Analytics challenges. You will work directly with Informatica sales teams to have an immediate and lasting impact on Next Generation Analytics sales opportunities. You will help increase Informatica revenue growth by attracting new customers, cross-selling and upselling to existing customers.

Your primary responsibilities include:

Lead the conversation with business leaders at prospects and customers about the value of Next Generation Analytics, and the role of Informatica products in delivering that value

Recognize the need, and drive requirements, for solutions in Next Generation Analytics

Perform high-level business solution design to deliver on the value of Next Generation Analytics

Champion Next Generation Analytics solutions and key benefits internally and externally

Support field enablement and collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to achieve market success in Next Generation Analytics

Be viewed as a trusted advisor and thought leader internally and externally

Representative examples of how you will collaborate with Informatica and partner sales and marketing teams:

  • Identify issues that can be solved by Next Generation Analytics solutions
  • Create messaging articulating how these issues can benefit from Next Generation Analytics
  • Deliver messaging at Industry seminars, through whitepapers and Industry magazine articles
  • Lead the discussion with a business stakeholder/C-Suite executive to determine their business pain
  • Maximize the business value Informatica provides to customers by coaching the sales and implementation teams on opportunities
  • Identify and gain access to business stakeholders who benefit from a technical initiative; in doing so, convert a technical initiative to a business initiative
  • Develop and present a qualitative or quantitative business case to the business stakeholders
  • Lead business stakeholder and C-suite discussions by communicating how their business pains can be uniquely solved by Informatica’s Next Generation Analytics solutions
  • Work with pre-sales consultants to provide requirements for compelling demonstrations of Informatica solutions
  • Identify additional business opportunities with the account
  • Establish a Trusted Advisor relationship with the business stakeholders and/or C-suite
  • Develop and deliver sales training in support of Next Generation Analytics
  • Differentiate Informatica from the competition for both prospects and customers as well as Informatica team members

Your Qualifications

  • At least ten years of increasingly responsible experience with Next Generation Analytics, Big Data or related solutions
  • Deep experience in customer facing roles with a focus on revenue generating activity
  • A strong understanding of the different areas related to Big Data including but not limited to analytics, data scanning and profiling, data cataloging, cloud environments, data security, master data management, etc.
  • Experience with solutions in a Next Generation Analytics environment
  • Ability to triangulate and confirm the business pain from conversations with the business stakeholder
  • Ability to understand the capabilities of the Informatica Platform
  • Ability to generate a qualitative or quantitative business case
  • Experience with complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with customers, partners, analysts, sales, R&D, and the management team
  • Executive presence; consultative style
  • Well-honed problem solving and analytical skills
  • Team player, with ability to balance multiple simultaneous customer/partner interactions
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented; able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
  • Excellent listening, writing and presentation skills. Complete fluency in English is a must, other languages are a plus
  • Knowledge of/prior experience with, Informatica/other Next Generation Analytics products is a plus
  • Competitive intelligence/grasp of competition is a plus
  • Experience in an industry line of business role and/or in management consulting is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical/scientific concentration
  • Ability to travel anywhere within the US to meet the needs of the role (approx. 50%)
