Position Title: Solutions Architect

External Description:

We are currently seeking a Partner Solutions Architect (PSA) to join our dynamic Partner GSI (Global Systems Integrators) Selling team in North America. The PSA plays a critical role in enabling our global partners to sell Informatica products and solutions, to grow their revenues and Informatica’s. The PSA is a high-leverage, high-impact, and very visible role responsible for ensuring widespread adoption of Informatica software and solutions through the Informatica partner community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Proactively collaborate with Partner COEs (Center Of Excellence) to design, build and deliver innovative joint solution offerings to positively differentiate Informatica products and technology.
  • Deliver partner enablement sessions and present Informatica vision, value proposition, and technology. Train partner pre-sales organizations on the Informatica sales cycle, qualification, objection handling, “how to sell” and win strategies, and engagement best practices.  Tailor presentations to specific partners and their product sets.
  • Become a trusted advisor with Global Solution Architects through advising on Informatica technologies as well as presenting architectural visions for leveraging Informatica technologies in solutions.
  • Develop pre-sales engineering content on Informatica products and solutions for a Partner audience.
  • Ensure that partners’ pre-sales organizations are kept fully informed on all relevant Informatica initiatives, activities and product developments through regular updates.
  • Develop strong technical executive relationships and champions within partner technical organizations.
  • Communicate partner solutions to Informatica Sales and Pre-Sales resources such that our teams can effectively discuss and position them to meet customer requirements
  • Work with assigned partners’ product organizations and Informatica Product Management & Engineering to identify and drive new product and solution opportunities and new points of product integration.
  • Develop / assist in the development of partner demos.

  • Deep industry knowledge and understanding of a customer’s decision-making process, goals, strategies, and business objectives.
  • Expert-level presentation, customer service, financial/business acumen, and negotiation skills at all levels of customer engagement.
  • Complete, “big-picture” understanding of the business and technical contexts of key accounts.
  • Driven, self-starter who exudes leadership on account set and compels others to get on board.
  • Fully adept at consultative effectiveness and establishing trust with internal and external customers.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, Big Data, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.
  • Partner/Channel business development experience
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to act as the technical advocate for our Partner
  • Holds expert-level experience and uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Effective in working both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong listening and question-based selling skills

Education/Experience 

  • BA/BS or higher educational background is preferred.
    • Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
