Senior Software Engineer (DevOps, GO, Kubernetes)

Your Opportunity: 

Located in our Redwood City, CA headquarters, you will play a pivotal role in our cloud transformation as a senior member of the Informatica CloudTrust team. You will be working with DevOps-oriented product development, infrastructure and business teams to build, automate and scale our global network fabric – focusing on cloud network infrastructure technologies, including how customers interface to our global cloud. You will be the “go to” person for product and operations teams implementing new features, and scaling and automating our resilient, global, multi-cloud platform.

Responsibilities:

• Implement, secure, scale and troubleshoot a global, multi-cloud network layer for Informatica’s cloud platform and products.
• Educate and keep product and operations teams informed on the best practice designs, proper implementations, high-performance optimizations, and self-service troubleshooting skills.
• Create runbooks and “Infrastructure as Code” recipes to build scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient networks for product and operations teams. Maintain greater than 99.9% availability.
• Accelerate the transformation from datacenter-centric design patterns to immutable, automated, highly-available, and a zero-trust cloud-based infrastructure.
• Implement and monitor the security controls and performance metrics of the network layer, including resiliency checks and failure prediction.
• Willingness to be part of an on-call rotation.

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of cloud networking experience.
• At least 5 years of expert level network and toolset experience in AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
• Strong experience using automation to provisioning cloud network constructs such as virtual networks, security groups, cloud native load balancers, DNS, and VPNs
• Experience operating within environments compliant with SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO27000 or equivalent
• Experience creating and maintaining metrics to aid in the design, scaling and troubleshooting of cloud networks
• Expert level knowledge on managed Kubernetes like Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Familiar with “Infrastructure as Code” and ability to manage resources using consul, python and json
• Experience designing and maintaining a high-performance global cloud network
• Strong analytical skills, mental resiliency and the ability to think systematically under stress.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across the organization
• Comfortable working in an agile DevOps oriented capacity, alongside development partners. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Traditional edge networking skills such as F5, Cisco, Juniper, BGP etc.
• Strong experience using automation to provisioning cloud network constructs such as virtual networks, security groups, cloud native load balancers, DNS, and VPNs
