The Enterprise Data Lake is a part of Core Technology Group which is innovation hub within Informatica. We are responsible for delivering extensible, reliable and scalable products. Specifically, our team focuses on building a high performance and scalable Enterprise Data Lake product. Enterprise Data Lake is rich in user interface and exposes REST API. We use latest technology stack to build solutions like Hive/HDFS/Spark/Sqoop/AWS/MapR/Cloudera/Hortonworks/Azure/Rest/Selenium etc.

 

Your Opportunity

The position is suited for energetic engineers with experience working on enterprise scale software products or solutions at Bangalore office. You will participate in the testing of enterprise software. You will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality and automation of the same. You would be contributing to improve Backend and Frontend Test Automation Frameworks.

 

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking at hiring Senior Software Engineer QA for the Enterprise Data Lake team at Informatica who shall be responsible for writing test strategy, test cases, conducting the functional tests, raise bugs and develop tool to automate functional cases.

              

 

 

 

 

Your Responsibilities

Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities

Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites

Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues

Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review.

Communicate effectively with developers and QA peers and other stakeholders including Project Manager.

Execute planned testing tasks and provide timely and accurate analysis of findings

Architect and develop re-usable, extensible and portable test frameworks for new areas

Collaborate with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues and problems.

              

              

              

Your qualification

BS/MS/MCA in Computer Science

3+ years of software testing and automation experience.

Strong core Java, Junit, Jenkins with API testing experience.

Working experience in Unix environments

Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills

Must have a strong knowledge of QA processes and methodologies

 

 

 

Desired Skills

Hands on exposure to JAVA is mandatory.

In depth and hands on Experience in Automation is must.

Understanding of SOAP and REST based APIs testing is plus.

Experience with technologies like Jenkins and Ant/Maven is desirable.

Knowledge of Unix OS

Working knowledge on Big data is a plus.

Good problem solving, analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.

Should have programming, debugging experience, and excellent problem-solving skills.
