Our world-class Global Finance and Accounting team provides an infrastructure that supports all elements of the Informatica business with a keen focus on supporting our sales team with information, processes, and policy clarification they need to exceed their goals.

Your Opportunity

You would report to the Sr. Manager of Revenue and will be very familiar with technical accounting requirements (FASB and SEC Rules and Regulations) around software revenue recognition, including ASC 606, as you provide input into contract negotiations to balance legal, finance and business concerns. You will work in a highly visible environment and will be responsible for determining proper revenue recognition on software and cloud sales arrangements, assisting in the management of internal controls, preparing reporting analyses for finance management, assist in integration of new business units, and interacting with the external auditors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in deal structuring and review of non-standard software licensing and cloud draft agreements, and pro-actively recommend changes to contract terms to avoid revenue recognition issues. Respond to inquiries from Sales and Legal relating to contracting issues.
  • Review of software licensing and cloud arrangements to determine the appropriate accounting treatment, address potential issues, and document conclusions. Prepare revenue recognition packages for review by management. Assist in gathering information for auditors as part of the quarterly interim reviews and annual audit.
  • Assist in preparation and review of SSP analysis for the Company’s performance obligations.
  • Respond to reporting requirements from Informatica management, independent auditors and other stakeholders.
  • Manage processes (including running reports and performing reconciliations) to ensure that accounting information is accurately captured and reflected in the Oracle ERP system in accordance with documented policies and GAAP and reported in a timely manner.
  • Assist in maintaining Sarbanes Oxley 404 control documentation and ensure that controls are operating as documented. Drive improvements to enhance efficiency, business insight, and internal controls.
  • Process individual contracts in Oracle and ensure revenue is recognized appropriately. Document accounting conclusions and ensure all issues and their resolutions have been documented.
  • Review accounting policies and procedures; make recommendations for improvements. Document new policies and procedures as required.
  • Assist with external reporting tasks such as drafting revenue related disclosures for SEC regulatory filings, as needed.
  • Assist in system implementations and enhancements.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, purchase price accounting, and integration.
  • Supervise direct reports to promote continuous learning and development, identification of improvement areas, and providing guidance to ensure high team performance.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration and Accountancy
  • 4-5 years of experience, inclusive of Public Accounting experience with a Big-4 firm
  • Software industry experience and solid understanding of software revenue recognition preferred
  • Ability to understand and apply complex accounting rules to real-life transactions
  • Ability to identify issues in complex software arrangements, research as appropriate, propose solutions, determine accounting treatment, and document conclusions
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as cross-functionally with other stakeholders
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and be deadline-oriented
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office
