The role

The VP of Channels role at Informatica is a new one. This person will work closely with Gary Rider (VP EMEA) and the senior management team in defining and implementing the go to market strategy for Informatica’s partners (RSI’s VAR’s and VAD’s) across EMEA and LATAM.

Leadership experience over multiple territories will be a must. Experience in working with multiple strategy’s (in some cases differing from region to region) will be key to success. You will be managing a complex and often changing and evolving landscape. Helping to shape Informatica’s path for the future, in what is an extremely exciting time to be in the heart of the Data driven market.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and lead a regional or global partner ecosystem consisting of Global System Integrators (GSI), Regional System Integrators (RSI), Value Added Distributors (VAD) and Value Added Resellers (VAR), as applicable with both scale and aggressive growth.
  • Significant experience in developing comprehensive Partner strategies and leads a team toward results excellence.
  • Has extensive experience in Aligning with partner leadership on business planning and sourced revenue targets, to include periodic reviews to encourage mutual accountability and for effective measurement of results.
  • Ensures partners know how to position the company in a way that aligns with our brand and sales process.
  • Drive visibility within the industry via a partner program to ensure Informatica is top of mind with potential business and strategic partners.
  • Works with senior leadership team to ensure proper staffing and budgeting in order to structure, manage, and grow the partner sales team and program.
  • Accurately forecasts organizational results and opportunities, as well as provide qualitative and quantitative input for strategic decisions.
  • Build revenue plans with partners and roll up forecasts for the company. 
  • Develop a communication plan and work with Partner Marketing on the execution of the plan. This includes overviewing content and Marketing Development Funds (MDF).

Knowledge & Skills

  • Uses expertise in collaborative leadership to set vision and direction for a significant division/segment of a business unit.
  • Adept at strategic planning through complex situations and market environments to align the organization to corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Regular interaction with fellow executives internally/externally, to include influencing in highly visible activities that may include representing the organization via media and government interactions.
  • Uses long term business objectives and strategy to guide work and direct the work of others, where erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of the company's operations.
  • Motivates and mentors subordinates via exemplary leadership presence and demeanor.
  • Negotiates and closes large scale deals that benefit the company's partners and end customer.
  • Uses succession planning and knowledge of future organizational talent needs to educate, evaluate, and develop subordinate leaders.
  • Preferred knowledge of Data related Enterprise software solutions and vendors.
  • Experienced working with leading cloud solutions providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Snowflake, Salesforce.com, NetSuite 

Education/Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience  
  • Undergraduate Degree is preferred
