Position Title: Senior Software Engineer IT Applications

Informatica is looking for an exceptional, inventive, and savvy IT Hosting Solutions Engineer who thrives on using cutting-edge technologies to deliver business differentiating innovations. This highly professional engineer will work with key business representatives across the company to understand their needs and to swiftly translate these into value-add solutions. This role will drive the technical aspects of the company’s IT hosting services across both public and private cloud environments, constantly looking for ways to not only improve and optimize services but to create state-of-the-art capabilities that will “wow” all of Informatica’s internal customers enabling our continued leadership in the Enterprise Data Management industry. Responsibilities also include the following:

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing, administering, and improving Informatica’s Cloud Management Platform (Morpheus) through the release of new services and capabilities (e.g. containerization)
• Delivering simultaneous automation projects and initiatives through close coordination with business representatives and collaboratively with other IT teams
• Managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Informatica’s Public and Private cloud environments and ensuring governance best practices are applied globally
• Designing solutions using technology/architecture best practices and industry trends
• Proactively looking for ways to apply automation innovations to add business value across all Hosting services, for example to optimize cloud usage and help reduce costs
• Working to build quality solutions using the automation development lifecycle end-to-end
• Developing, building, configuring, deploying, and supporting solutions in an environment using SCM, CI/CD, artifact management, automated testing, and monitoring tools
• Leveraging the right processes and tools to address gaps and build key capabilities
• Applying DevOps/SRE best practices to deliver highly available & reliable solutions
• Creating and maintaining programming and scripting standards within IT Hosting globally
• Investigating new and emerging technologies and industry trends as part of figuring out how best to apply these innovations in a way that demonstrably adds business value
• Working closely with key vendors to ensure solutions are reliable and of high quality
• Ensuring through automation solutions and good governance practices that Informatica receives the best value for money when using cloud services
• Ensuring that architecture designs, standard operating procedures, work instructions and troubleshooting scripts are documented (e.g. Knowledgebase articles) and kept current
• Collaborating with business and other IT teams to ensure the timely delivery of consistent and predictable solutions to IT’s internal customers
• Ensuring the consistent delivery of quality solutions while meeting project deadlines
• Performing technology related project management activities and delivering business solutions on time and on budget as per expected quality levels
• Continuously reviewing and improving the technology offerings delivered to the business
• Ensuring your changes are fully tested, peer reviewed, quality assured and approved
• Following through and closing out on all assigned Jira, incident, and change tickets
• Demonstrating accountability and sees him or herself as responsible for IT meeting customer expectations

Education & Experience

• BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.  
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
