Position Title: Senior Consultant

External Description:

Informatica is currently looking for a Senior Consultant, in this highly visible and impactful role you will successfully employ a combination of technical expertise and client management skills to conduct on-site or remotely, post-sales consulting and product implementation. A successful professional with experience in leading the delivery of large, strategic, and complex data integration projects to customers in LATAM to join our team in São Paulo.

Job Summary 

As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for working closely with project team members from Informatica, our customer’s internal team, and our alliance partners to ensure successful project delivery.  Senior Consultant is ultimately responsible for the leadership, quality, and timely delivery of the project for our customers.  In the role of Senior Consultant, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Working as a Senior Consultant you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • In this role you will work across multiple industries in Latin America, e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Healthcare, etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as Senior Consultant working with our customers and business partners, both on short-term assignments to provide on-the-spot Informatica expertise and on longer-term efforts to ensure a support project is delivered in accordance with the customer's expectations.
  • Promote best practices while executing project deliverables, timelines, and customer expectations and as a technical leader you will provide knowledge to the team.
  • Your ultimate mission is to deliver a first-rate client experience and positive brand awareness for Informatica.
  • Manage customer expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables according to the best practices.
  • Travel wherever necessary and work alone or with a team to provide support and solutions for assigned clients and projects.

Key Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Working proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication and customer support skills, energetic self-starter who shows personal initiative
  • 5+ years software solution development/deployment experience, preferably in data warehouse projects
  • 5+ years of experience managing solutions around data integration, BI deployment, and data warehousing
  • 5+ years of experience with Informatica products required: PowerCenter, EDC, Data Quality and MDM
  • Strong analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong track record of completing MDM/Data Quality projects, as well as a proven track record of at least two successfully completed large projects, as well as coaching and mentoring others for success
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and drive toward quick decisions
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
  • Willingness to travel up to 50 percent of the time, after pandemic.

What Does Success Look Like?

Senior Consultants are looked to as the wizards and experts in delivering Master Data Management initiatives, both by the customers they serve and within Informatica Professional Services (IPS).  For customers, this means the SC is expected to be able to convert their requirements/desires into solutions in the tool with their technical domain knowledge to drive project delivery, lead the technical team, clearly define, and manage customer expectations versus capability tool and proactively address and resolve technical issues related to the project. Within IPS, DMs will help establish the overall framework, driving utilization of common standards and processes across the Practice.  They will also be expected to actively participate in continuous improvement of deliverables, make refinements, and coach/mentor other colleagues within the Practice.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in MDM implementation in Latin America (outside Brazil)
  • Experience leading the Technical Delivery of Enterprise Data Management projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with an approachable communication style
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet internal and external deadlines
  • Proficiency in communicating with clients, partners and colleagues from other cultures and regions
  • Group Policy Management in conjunction with MDM and EDC implementation tasks
  • Provide advanced high- and low-level documentation. Ensure documentation is maintained and easily accessible
  • Work Experience on OKTA device trust will be an advantage
  • Establish and maintain vendor relationships
