Informatica is currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Dublin.

Job Summary

Working as a Software Engineer, you will participate in the development effort of our cloud and on-premise-based software within the Data Quality and Governance business unit of Informatica. The role is primarily focused on multi-layered systems in a distributed environment.  As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering, in a timely manner, well-tested, scalable and robust components. In the role of Software Engineer, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Working as the Software Engineer you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

What You’ll Do

• Design technical solutions to support product features based on product management requirements.
• Take responsibility of features development and follow-through with other team members working on the project to ensure high quality and predictable delivery of such features.
• Implement, unit test, and bug-fix well-defined functionality that satisfies the stipulated requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with peer engineers, and architects to solve complex problems
• Estimate effort, identify risks and meet project schedules.
• Regularly suggest enhancements to an existing product that contributes to product goals.
• Review QA test specifications and feature documents.
• Communicate across features and components within the product. 
• Interact with other groups on same product and cross product groups.
• Conduct talks/demos within team.

Key Essentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
• Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent general programming skills and significant Java programming experience.
• Experience implementing and interacting with RESTful services
• Experience with TestNG or other Java unit testing tools.
• Experience with common Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, etc.
• Significant experience with jQuery or other JavaScript libraries
• Experience with web UI development
• Experience using build automation tools (Maven, Jenkins, etc.)
• Familiarity with PaaS product (preferably Docker)
• Familiarity with deployment with Tomcat application server
• Familiarity with Microservice infrastructure
• Comfortable working with SQL

Nice to Have

• Experience Jenkins and/or other build systems
• Experience of XML, XPath, XSLT
• Knowledge of networking, distributed systems.
• Experience with UNIX platforms.
• Contribution to open-source projects.
