Informatica is currently looking for a Senior HR Generalist with experience in Human Resources to join our APAC & Japan team based in Tokyo.

Job Summary 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our organization. As a Senior HR Generalist, you will be primarily responsible for our local office with expanded responsibilities into support for other APAC countries including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Australia/ New Zealand.  The role would also provide support to the wider APJ HR team.  In the role of Senior HR Generalist, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment. 

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for building close relationships within the client base to advise and guide on the people aspects of business operation and to ensure such decisions are aligned with Company culture and enhance organizational performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HRBP COE team to support APJ management team on initiatives to drive our APJ business and provide HR advisory services across all business functions.
  • Manage the employee onboarding/1:1 induction and offboarding process. Guide the new hire/leavers on the required action and track status in the due course.  Coordinate with finance, GSD, and office managers to ensure pleasant end to end employee experience.
  • First point of contact for generic queries from employees and managers, and for HR guidance on employee onboarding, global/local benefit briefing, system navigation, compensation, HR calendar and performance management etc.
  • Ensure all the statutory requirement within the countries is followed and abode by.  Provide input and recommendation in the areas where improvement could be made and follow up for the enhancement if required.
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with changing employment laws and assist COE/ HR Ops teams to update the work rules and/or policies as necessary. Organize or provide training to relevant stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively and individually on projects across all HR regions and functions. Participate in projects to design, develop, streamline and deliver new HR programs and services.
  • Administer all employee changes including the processing of employee changes and associated paperwork, organization changes request, new hire onboarding docs, leave taken status review, leaver’s documentation etc
  • Manage and administer time-off policies and procedures while ensuring there is appropriate tracking and reporting.
  • Be the ambassador of HR programs advocating the existing handy information as well as promoting the new/upgraded initiatives.
  • May perform other add-hoc duties and responsibilities 

Key Essentials

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ of relevant experience in human resources.
  • Good command of English.  Professional proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin will be a big plus.
  • Ability to document, understand, interpret and communicate company policy and procedures.
  • Must be meticulous and detail-oriented.  Ability to deliver work with accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with can-do attitude
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using Workday is a plus.
  • Ability to cope with pressure maintaining a high standard of deliverables whilst working in a confidential environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred
