We’re currently looking for a “Senior DevOps Engineer” with hands-on experience and knowledge in CI/CD pipeline and Linux to join our team in Redwood City, California.  

Job Summary 

The Cloud Platform DevOps team is responsible for deploying cloud platform services into the cloud(AWS, Azure, GCP). As our Senior DevOps engineer, you will have the opportunity to be part of the enthusiastic team developing the cloud deployment platform with microservices containerization and using Kubernetes to manage deployments with the goal of ensuring zero-downtime, high availability, performance, scalability of QA systems across AWS, Azure and GCP cloud ecosystems. In the role of Senior DevOps Engineer, you must be able to work and adapt to a fluid, fast-paced environment. Working as a Senior DevOps Engineer you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.  

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement for CI/CD Pipelines
• Deploying software built on different platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) according to maintain the published cadence
• Setup and configure new QA environments based on product and release timeline requirements.
• Maintain uptime and reliability of all QA environments to ensure smooth testing and stability. Handle P0/P1 incidents, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with R&D teams to drive permanent resolutions
• Responsible for Patches, Monthly and Major release upgrades, sign-off on upgrades, and providing flight plan instructions to production operations teams
• Work with the DevOps team for pipeline implementation and testing of the pipeline.
• Help Informatica Cloud teams onboard onto the Cloud Platform
• Perform Disaster recovery drills on QA environments and handover validated flight plans to the production ops team
• Make sure the configuration processes and pipelines are in sync with production pipelines
• Configure monitoring for the applications to allow proactive detection of problems and issues
• Research and utilize the latest industry-standard tools and practices to meet the evolving needs of our internal customers.
• Experience working with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform would be nice to have
• Exposure to working with containerized applications in Kubernetes is a plus

The technology You’ll Use is not limited to the following:

• Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), cloud log services (ELK), cloud application monitoring tools (Elastic APM, AppDynamics)
• Jenkins and Spinnaker CI/CD tools
• Perforce and Git version control systems
• Python/Java/Groovy, Linux scripting
• Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Helm, Istio
• Telemetry tools which include Prometheus, ELK

Education / Experience

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps or Quality Software development.
• BS degree in a related field, MS preferred
