Informatica is currently looking for a Senior HR Generalist with experience in Human Resources to join our EMEA-LA team, the role is based in Krakow, Poland. 

Job Summary 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our organization in a variety of Human Resources activities. As a Senior HR Generalist, you will be primarily responsible for our Polish office, but with the potential for the role to expand into support for other countries (region would be approximately 150+ employees). Responsibilities may include a multitude of activities. May screen resumes and applications and may interview applicants. May counsel employees concerning work-related problems and conduct termination interviews, providing feedback to management when necessary. Supports the company’s diversity initiatives and may maintain records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements. Writes position descriptions, benefit brochures and employee handbooks. Conducts research and analyzes data on assigned projects. May assist in the formulation of compensation objectives, manpower goals, performance management, personnel policies and procedures.

The role would also provide support to the wider EMEA-LA HR team and locations.  In the role of Senior HR Generalist, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment.

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for building close relationships within the client base to advise and guide on the people aspects of business decisions and to ensure such decisions are aligned with Company culture and enhance organisational performance.

What You’ll Do

  • First point of contact for employees and managers in Poland for coaching and HR guidance on employee relations, compensation, career development and performance management.
  • Ability to manage employee relation cases end to end independently drawing upon experience to guide managers on correct course of action, such as disciplinary investigations and hearings, performance management, consultation with employees, terminations, grievance management. Whilst empowering and providing expert and experienced coaching and guidance to managers so they are able to proactively lead the process.
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with changing employment laws, update management as necessary. Provide training to relevant stakeholders (workshop sessions for managers).
  • Manage local benefits enrolment and necessary updates (where applicable) including the processing of employee changes and associated paperwork, benefit enrolments, processing leaver documentation….
  • Work collaboratively and individually on projects across all HR regions and functions. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and issues logs for all HR programs. Participate in helping to design, develop, test and deliver new HR programs and services.
  • Manage full-cycle HR processes from on-boarding to off-boarding talent.
  • Adept in the consultative role of supporting business managers in a variety of areas such as employee communication, employee relations, performance management, team and individual development, policy and best practices interpretation, and other human capital impacting areas.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partners and the EMEA-LA Leadership team on initiatives to support and drive our EMEA-LA business. Providing HR advisory services to management and employees across all business functions.
  • Manage and administer absence management policies and procedures while ensuring there is appropriate tracking and reporting.
  • Create, maintain and communicate global and local policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct research and analyzes data on assigned projects.

  • May drive local immigration and work visa processes with HR Compliance & Legal team oversight
    Partner with HR Business Partner and leaders to address employee performance issues
    Develop and support location programs and initiatives, including supporting Informatica’s Culture and Values.
    Understand the client groups, strategy, challenges, business initiatives and business model.
  • At this level, incumbents will have developed ability in the duties and responsibilities of the role and may provide guidance to lesser scoped HR Generalist roles.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum of 5/7+ years’ of relevant experience in human resources.
  • Fluency in Polish & English (additional languages is a plus)
  • Ability to document, understand, interpret and communicate company policy and procedures.
  • Ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience using Workday is a plus.
  • Availability to travel as needed both domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to cope with pressure maintaining a high standard of deliverables whilst working in a confidential environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is preferred
  • Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization who resolves wide ranges of issues in creative ways.  
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Expand skills and practical knowledge by routinely working with experts in the field and outside of immediate team/area/segment.
  • Journey-level career experience in multiple Human Resource functional areas and strong familiarity with employment law and regulations.
  • In depth knowledge of coaching, conflict resolution, and situational risk mitigation.
