Job Description

The role will provide substantial contributions related to the program design, strategy and administration of Informatica’s equity and executive rewards programs, establish partnerships with functional experts in finance, legal and communications, collaborate with team members and company leadership to ensure the company’s executive compensation programs are aligned with marketplace best practices while also appropriate for the needs of the organization and help to ensure compliance with tax and legal regulations. The role will report directly to the VP, Total Rewards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be a key driver in the development, implementation and administration of executive compensation and equity programs company-wide, including annual and long-term incentives
  • Experience with the design and structure of equity stock plans (restricted stock, ESPP, performance shares, etc) and interfacing with the stock administration team.
  • In collaboration with Finance, Legal, external consultants, and other stakeholders, proactively review, design, and recommend executive compensation programs, guidelines, and policies in alignment with our business objectives and priorities.
  • Preparation of Compensation Committee meeting materials including drafting, analysis, modeling and market assessments
  • Perform industry research and financial analyses related to executive compensation strategy and design, utilizing external peer data from surveys, proxy disclosures and other resources to determine market best practices.
  • Stay abreast of Executive Compensation market trends, regulatory environment, proxy advisor firms, investors, activists, etc., and provide regular updates to VP, Global Total Rewards, CHRO, Finance and Legal as appropriate.
  • In partnership with Legal, lead the preparation of the CD&A for the annual proxy including Summary Compensation Tables.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing executive compensation policies and practices relative to emerging market trends and best practices.
  • Partner with HR Information Technology and Payroll to ensure appropriate systems and administrative processes are in place to support executive compensation programs and related planning/election activities.
  • Leads various HR projects and/or participates as subject matter expert on project teams.
  • Assist the Total Rewards team with on going initiatives and projects (e.g, annual merit/bonus process, firm-wide market ranges, survey submission, etc).
  • Maintain executive compensation processes and policies, including administration tasks in support of executive and equity compensation administration such as: data auditing, cleanup, reporting, dashboards, modeling for new plan design, process improvement
  • Staying abreast of applicable legislation and exchange requirements governing executive compensation; engage with key stakeholders across Finance, Legal and Controllership on accounting and regulatory aspects of executive compensation programs
  • Support broader enterprise priorities across Global Compensation, as applicable

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of SEC and IRS regulations impacting Executive Compensation is required
  • Minimum of a BA/BS degree is required; a MBA or Masters is preferred
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in compensation with a focus on executive compensation is required
  • Some compensation consulting experience is preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excel at meeting tight deadlines and time management. 
  • A deep understanding of, and practical experience in applied compensation principles, methods and tools including technical expertise in a multiple of the following: market analysis, compensation program design, development, and implementation, variable pay, salary planning, and alternative reward design techniques is required
  • Quantitative and analytical skills as well as demonstrated creativity in developing compensation solutions is required
  • Strong business and financial acumen, demonstrated project management skills, outstanding written and verbal communications skills is required
  • The position will partner with other groups including the Finance, Tax and Law departments; a strong history of quickly building relationships, gaining credibility, influencing, and partnering with business and human resources leaders across the organization is required
