Your Role

The successful candidate will participate in the development effort of our cloud and on-premise based software within the Data Governance business unit of Informatica, located in Dublin. The role is primarily focused on multi-layered systems in a distributed environment. 

Candidates at this level actively contribute to the open problem-solving environment. The candidate will be responsible at a feature level for delivering, in a timely manner, well tested, scalable and robust components.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, design, and develop features based on business requirements individually or with a small team.
  • Lead feature development and follow-through with other team members working on the project to ensure high quality and predictable delivery.
  • Work with the QA team to ensure minimal regressions and comprehensive customer-centric testing
  • Resolving security vulnerabilities and CVEs identified by our security team.
  • Passionately share your knowledge: you enjoy mentoring team members, can communicate effectively, and clearly articulate and support technical decisions to a wide audience
  • Estimate effort, identify risks, and meet project schedules.
  • Regularly suggest enhancements to existing product that contributes to product goals.
  • Collaborating with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues and problems.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 4 or more years of enterprise software development experience
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent general programming skills and significant Java programming experience.
  • You have strong experience in thin client technologies like JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and React JS.
  • Experience implementing and interacting with RESTful services.
  • Experience with TestNG or other Java unit testing tools.
  • Familiarity with common Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, etc.
  • Experience using build automation tools (Maven, Jenkins, etc.)

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with cloud platforms.
  • Experience in working with Docker or Kubernetes
  • Contribution to open-source projects.
