We are a team of product engineers building Application Integration and API management products and solutions on the Cloud.  The team comprises diverse, experienced technologists who enjoy working in a fast-paced delivery model with high-performance work culture. 

Your Opportunity

You will be working on the Informatica Cloud Application Integration and Taskflow services which are hosted on the IDMC platform for our global clients. CAI and Taskflow are two of the heavily used services across IDMC and are built on our ActiveVos technology. In this role, you will be supporting all our production instances, troubleshoot and debug issues, arrive at short-term and long-term solutions and provide resolutions under our agreed SLA’s. You will learn our products end to end, and be able to provide bug fixes, and enhancements and suggest architectural changes that are required to handle the huge volume of transactions that need to be supported.

Your Responsibilities

As a Principal Engineer for Site reliability, you will be expected to

• Get application feedback from telemetry, product feedback from customers representatives like the support org, quality feedback from test engineering, and keep refining the product iteratively
• Debug complex customer issues and arrive at short-term and long-term solutions
• Deliver to customer expectations based on agreed SLA’s
• Mentor and work with junior engineers to deliver feature enhancements and critical bug fixes for production issues
• Develop excellent understanding in breadth and depth of Informatica's products and contribute to future product roadmap and goals
• Work on product re-arch initiatives where necessary
• Multi-task and context-switch quickly to react to customer issues and changing requirements

 

Requirements & Qualifications

• 12 or more years of professional software development and support experience in J2EE-based applications dealing with large volume of transactions and data
• Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with experience in tools like ELK, Grafana, JVM Thread Dump, and Heap Dump analysis.
• Efficiency, Performance, and scalability: Have implemented complex systems that can perform and scale well under load using minimum resources.
• Excellent knowledge and experience on cloud non-functional requirements; ability to quantify their benefits and incorporate them in the design with no compromise on cloud-first design
• The candidate should have prior experience dealing with full product development lifecycles and multiple releases, preferably of large enterprise software products
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering preferred
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
