Position Title: Software Engineer

External Description:

As part of a growing R&D organization in Tel Aviv, we are looking for a  Java Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming, developing back-end application side.

This person will be part of an innovating development team, which is part of a global group, and will concentrate on the development of cloud applications using diverse technologies in Agile methodology.

 Position definition:

• Member of the Informatica R&D organization in Tel Aviv.
• Part of an experienced, innovating, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.
• Participates in the development, specification and design of the product.
• Server side development is done in Java using several cutting-edge enterprise grade technologies, open source products, and standards.

 Requirements:

• 3+ years of development experience.
• At least a BSC in Computer Science or equivalent, from a leading university in Israel.
• Experience developing cloud-hosted, responsive, secured web applications using Java.
• At least 2 years’ experience writing professional-quality Java code using Spring and Hibernate.
• Familiar with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, S3 - Advantage.
• Experience in writing back-end unit and automation tests - Advantage.
• Experience in continuous integration .process and continuous delivery platform - Advantage.
• Has solid knowledge and experience in relational databases, such as Oracle or MySQL.
• Strong knowledge in software design and implementation of best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and security challenges.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Agile, versatile, with the ability to solve complex problems.
• Self-starter with strong self-management skills.

 Responsibilities:

• Creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules, components, and applications.
• Designing and developing E2E user stories implementations.
• Discussing user stories and technical implications.
• Suggesting and implementing solutions considering existing or new frameworks, techniques, open source code with the team, PM and SW architecture.
• Collaborating with global Informatica groups via code reviews and technical discussions to level up yourself and others, to improve your ability to provide effective feedback, and to achieve higher quality code.
• Solving scalability, multi-tenancy, security and high-availability product challenges.
• Delivering a complete cloud application.
