Principal Security Software Engineer

We're looking for a Principal Security Software Engineer candidate with experience in developing and delivering enterprise-class software, to join our team in Redwood City, CA (hybrid)

You will report to the Director Cloud Security

You will be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of security services that support Informatica products.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do

• Work with Engineering to understand the vision, product roadmap and build products/applications/services per requirements
• Hands on development
• Product delivery by writing code, unit testing, automated test suites and reviewing pull requests.
• Collaborate with team in evolving design, development, and deployment practices.
• Perform research on various technologies and evaluate how they can be integrated within Informatica to improve cloud security process, and/or posture of the cloud security program.

• Cyber Security certification.
• Cloud service provider certification.
• Understanding of security concepts across IAM, Vulnerability Management, Incident Detection and Response, Network, and Storage.
• Contributions to open-source projects.

Role Essentials

• 5+ years of technical experience in software engineering with 3+ years of experience in building cloud-native/services/platforms.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Secure by design approach with strong coding skills.
• Solid experience in designing and developing solutions using programming languages such as Java or Python on Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience with Cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud services (Kubernetes, Serverless)
• Knowledge of the components within CI/CD pipelines. Including but not limited to Terraform, Ansible, test automation frameworks, Git Repository.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Firm grasp of API strategies and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills within an organization.
• BA/BS or equivalent educational background, we will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience
