Meet Molly Aggarwal, QA Intern, Enterprise Catalog
Tell us a little bit about your internship and what led you to join Informatica.
Working at Informatica has been a huge transformation not only on the professional front but also inside my personal sphere like the way a butterfly undergoes so many changes from a caterpillar to a butterfly who soars high. Coming right after completing three years of B.E. Course in Chitkara University (Punjab), I was hired as a QA Intern for the Enterprise Data Catalog Team at Informatica in Bangalore, India.
During the first few days, everything felt like it went above our heads, but as we started to work on our product, we figured it all out. We all are from different cultures and communities, but never for a split second could we feel the difference. Our thoughts and ideologies are the same and we are all under the same Informatica umbrella. Even if there is thunder or lightning, rain or sunshine, we are strong together, working towards a common goal.
I’m currently working on UI Automation for our the Enterprise Data product. Working on the product, I get to perform functional and regression testing. My job is to write code snippets and test cases which automate every feature of our web application. With every promoted build, I trigger UI Automation and the report gives us the area where there is a bug. I report the bug and then it gets fixed in the new build.
I have learned the practical implementation of the subjects we read in college, and that is the true essence of an internship program and that is why being an intern here has been a blessing for me in countless number of ways. All the knowledge I have gained here at Informatica, I owe to my mentors who still are there for me day in and day out.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.
Haha, I’ve been here so long that there are a handful of people that know me so well they already know these things but what most people don’t know about me is:
If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why?
I honestly don’t idolize any specific superhero. However, if I had a super power, I would love to have the power to eliminate hunger around the world.
What advice would you give to job seekers looking to join Informatica?
My advice to all job seekers is to be prepared. Present your abilities in an honest and transparent manner.
