About Our Job Applicant Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice describes how Informatica LLC., and its affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively, “Informatica” or “we”) process your personal data. This notice applies to information we collect in connection with Informatica’s career portal and Informatica’s recruiting activities generally, when you apply for employment at Informatica, including any information related to your professional references, and explains the types of personal data we collect, how we may use and disclose that data, and the choices that are available to you with respect to our processing of your data. In this Privacy Notice we refer to you as a “job applicant” or a “candidate” interchangeably.
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the notice and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as by adding a statement to our website homepages or sending you an email notification). We encourage you to review the Privacy Notice regularly to stay informed about our information practices and the ways you can manage your privacy.

Controllers of Your Personal Data
The Informatica entity or entities that determine the purposes and means of the processing of your personal data (“Controller”) depends on your geography. In all geographies, Informatica LLC is a controller. If you are in the European Economic Area, Informatica Ireland EMEA UC and Informatica LLC are co-Controllers. If you are in Brazil, IS INFORMATICA SOFTWARE LTDA and Informatica LLC are co-Controllers. You can contact these entities and their privacy representatives at the addresses below:

Sources of Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us during our interactions as part of the consideration of your application for employment to specific roles at Informatica, for example when you create an account in our online recruiting system, and submit your application and resume to apply for a job. We also collect information from you during candidate screening, interview scheduling and management, background screening and verification, and to onboard you at Informatica if you receive and accept an offer of employment. We may also collect data from third parties, such as recruiting agencies, that have been designated by you. We collect data contained in your social media profile such as LinkedIn if you choose to disclose this to us. We may also collect certain personal data from third parties if you have completed an employment application and authorized us to do so or we have otherwise obtained your authorization to verify information about your credentials. We will collect information developed during our interaction with you as part of our recruiting or work relationship (such as information related to your interview or prior job performance). If you are a current Informatica employee applying for another job at Informatica, another source of applicable data may be information we already have about you, including your job performance evaluations.
Informatica employees are able to use an internal recruitment platform to make job referrals to potential candidates. If you have been referred by someone for a position at Informatica, we may collect personal data from them. The person referring you will be able to see the status of your application, but Informatica does not disclose any other data about you to the referrer. Once you submit your application to Informatica, you will be considered a job applicant and we will collect personal data as described above and use it as described in the How We Use Your Information section below.
Informatica may also collect data about you at industry networking events, from recruitment service providers, or from professional networking sites such as LinkedIn, for example, if we have a vacancy that is hard to fill. We only collect this data about you if you have made it available in a context in which one would reasonably understand that it may be considered for talent acquisition and recruitment, and we have plans to contact you about a job vacancy that Informatica may have in the future.
Types of Information We Collect
You are not obligated to provide any personal data to Informatica; however, if you decline to complete certain mandatory fields, we will not be able to accept or review your application for employment.
The categories of personal data we collect include:
- Contact information, such as your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number;
- Recruitment information, such as your resume (including education, employment, and military history), cover letter, references, employment application and notes regarding whether your qualifications are suitable for the position for which you are applying;
- Work eligibility including nationality, country of residence and visa and immigration status;
- Where required by local law or to support our diverse workplace initiatives, demographic information such as your gender and data revealing racial or ethnic origin, marital status, religion or disability;
- Other information that supports our talent acquisition and recruitment operations, such as results of pre-employment skill tests or aptitude assessments and video interviews if applicable.
We also obtain the following information from third parties:
- Recruitment information, such as information from references, background checks, and recruiting platforms through which you have submitted your application
How We Use Your Information
In the context of recruitment and talent acquisition, Informatica processes candidates’ personal data to receive job applications, assess suitability of candidates, allow individuals to make job referrals, and keep a record of talented individuals for a limited time for future job vacancies.
We collect your information in order to communicate with you about your application or job interests, for example to update you on the status of your application, inform you about new job vacancies or invite you to virtual or in-person interviews.
We also process personal data to assess whether you are suitable for the role for which you are applying and to verify your background. If you are selected for a position at Informatica, personal data will also be used to facilitate the hiring process and may become part of your employment record, subject to a separate privacy notice. If you are not selected for a position but may be a candidate for future job opportunities, we may retain for a limited time the relevant contact and related information provided by you as part of your initial application. We may also use information from your application to analyze and improve our hiring processes and outcomes.
Legal Basis for Processing Your Data
We process personal data about you based on Informatica’s legitimate interest to find the best possible candidate for an open position, to consider your candidacy for employment, to communicate with you and to respond to your inquiries related to your job application or other recruitment-related matters.
We process sensitive personal data based on Informatica’s legitimate interest to carry out its legal obligations and exercise specific rights in the field of employment, social security, and immigration.
If you have consented to our use of your personal data for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent, but this will not affect the data processing that has already happened. Where we are using your information because we have a legitimate interest to do so, you have the right to object to that use, but in some cases, this may mean no longer being able to proceed with your job application.
How We Disclose Your Information
Informatica discloses personal data about job applicants in the following circumstances:
- With Informatica affiliates to carry out recruitment operations;
- With external third parties that support recruitment efforts on our behalf (e.g., recruitment portals or agencies, headhunters, background check and educational check vendors, consultants and IT companies);
- With legal or regulatory authorities to comply with our obligations, to protect the rights and property of Informatica, our customers, and the public, and to detect and respond to suspected illegal activity and threats to the safety of any person or of our systems or services;
- In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company; or
- With your consent and at your direction.
Transfers of Personal Data Outside the EEA
Informatica processes information in the United States and other countries. Accordingly, we and our service providers may transfer your information to, or store or access it in jurisdictions that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. Informatica generally transfers information to service providers in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the United States, although in some cases those service providers may transfer information to their own service providers, or we may transfer information directly to our service providers, in other countries including Australia, Brazil, India, and Singapore. We have implemented safeguards to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it. Data transferred from the EEA to Informatica LLC and its subsidiaries in the United States will be processed pursuant to appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure an adequate level of protection. Copies of the Standard Contractual Clauses we use to facilitate the transfer of data outside the EEA are available at Appendix 2: Informatica Standard Contractual Clauses.
Access and Other Data Subject Rights Generally
You may be entitled to request a copy of the personal data Informatica holds about you (including in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where applicable under the right of data portability), correction of the data, deletion of the data, and/or restriction of the data, as well as request that Informatica transmit your personal data to another controller (where applicable under the right of data portability) or object to the processing of your personal data, in accordance with the rights in your jurisdiction.
You may submit your request through our online request form, or by emailing us at email@example.com, or by contacting us at the address in the Controllers of Your Personal Data section. We will respond as soon as practicable and no later than one month after receipt of your request. We may request proof of identification to verify your request
Where Informatica’s processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of such processing before its withdrawal) by the foregoing methods.
We may deny or restrict fulfillment of your request in some cases, such as when your access to data places another individual’s privacy rights at risk, or the continued processing of your data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or if some or all of the personal data we hold about you has been destroyed, erased or made anonymous in accordance with our record retention obligations and practices. If so, we will notify you of the reason(s) for this denial.
Applicants may access and manage their application data through Informatica’s career portal. If you are unable to exercise these rights using the tools described above, candidates should contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Data Subject Requests for EU and EEA Residents
If you are in the EEA, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data Informatica holds about you (including in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format where applicable under the right of data portability),
- Request that Informatica transmit your personal data to another controller (where applicable under the right of data portability),
- Request that Informatica correct your data,
- Request that your data be deleted,
- Withdraw your consent, if you have consented to our use of personal data for a specific purpose,
- Request that your data be restricted, and
- Object to the processing of your personal data
If you are in the EEA and have a concern about our processing of your personal data that we are not able to resolve, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you reside. Informatica’s lead Data Protection Authority in the EU/EEA is the Irish Data Protection Commission (DPC). Data Subject Requests for Brazil Residents
If you are in Brazil, you have the following rights subject to certain limitations and exceptions under the Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD):
- To receive confirmation of the existence of processing of your Personal Data,
- To request access to your Personal Data,
- To correct your Personal Data if it is incomplete, imprecise or outdated,
- To request that your data is anonymized, blocked or deleted if it is unnecessary, excessive or processed in violation of the Data Protection Law,
- To request that your data is ported to another provider of products or services, unless it infringes upon our trade secrets and/or intellectual property rights,
- To withdraw consent previously given to Informatica to process your Personal Data (except where Informatica has a legal right to keep that data under the Data Protection Law),
- To know to whom Informatica disclosed your Personal Data, and
- To know whether there are consequences of not providing consent and what those are.

For information on the personal data collected and how that data is collected, used and disclosed, see the Sources of Information We Collect, Types of Information We Collect, How We Use Your Information, and How We Disclose Your Information sections above. Any agents to whom the data are disclosed are contractually bound to use the data to perform the obligations and provide the services and/or deliverables under their agreement with Informatica and to implement, maintain and monitor appropriate administrative, technical and organizational safeguards for that data consistent with the requirements of LGPD. Transfer of data subjects’ personal data outside Brazil is performed in accordance with this Privacy Notice and the LGPD.
Where Informatica is subject to the requirements of Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you may, should you feel it necessary, lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you feel your privacy rights have been infringed. In some instances, processing of your personal data may result in automated decisions that affect the outcome of your job application. For example, in order to manage a large volume of applications for the open positions, we may use automated decision-making comparing the data you submitted to us with the basic qualifications required for the position, which would determine whether your application progresses to the next stage.
When we make an automated decision about you, you have the right to contest the decision, to express your point of view and to request a human review of the decision. You can ask about decisions made about your application by contacting the Recruitment team at Informatica.
Information for California Residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) as amended, you have specific rights regarding your personal information if you are a California resident (“Consumer”) as further described in the Notice to California Residents.
We keep candidate records for three years after resolution of your application for a position in the USA and two years after resolution of your application for a position elsewhere, which is exceeded only as required by law or to exercise our legal rights.
Changes to Our Privacy Notice
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. Each version of this Notice is identified by its effective date.
