Meet Patrick Lawlor, Intern, Global Customer Support
I am currently an Intern on the Global Customer Support Team. I provide support for all customer support issues, and am based in our EMEA HQ in Dublin.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what led you to join Informatica.
I enjoy people the most, followed by computers. I am a massive animal fan. I have a beautiful girlfriend of six years. I have one year of college left and with some hard work, I hope to come back to work for the company. Informatica has basically adopted me for 7 months and it has been the best decision and luckiest role to ever come my way. I was offered an academic internship role off Informatica and they have invested in me and shown me how the industry leaders and kings of data operate.
What do you enjoy most about working at Informatica?
What I enjoy most about Informatica is the responsibility they put in their employees to represent their global brand. The GCS team is one of the most underrated and hardest working teams I have ever had the luck of working with. I love solving cases with my team and leaving customers resolved and satisfied with the service we provide. Two short sentences are not enough for me to fill in why I love working at Informatica.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.
If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why?
If I could be a superhero I guess I would be Thor. That long blond hair could suit anybody, I hope.
What advice would you give to job seekers looking to join Informatica?
If I was to give advice to new people it would be, apply, and apply now. Informatica will never cease to stop growing and it has one of, if not the best reputations in tech. The growth and investment in the individuals is like nothing I’ve seen before and to not be on a rolling 3-month contract basis is amazing. Informatica offers all the things an employee looks for when investing their career into a company, that’s why so many people have been here for such long periods of time. Job satisfaction is an incredibly important factor in a career and Infa hits the mark, every single time.
