Meet Kevin Clarke, Sourcing Manager, Global Procurement Team
I’m currently a member of the Global Procurement team, and act as a Sourcing Manager based in our EMEA HQ in Dublin.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and what led you to join Informatica.
I only joined Informatica at the start of June so I’m still pretty new, but I’m really enjoying it so far. The opportunity to join Informatica floated across my LinkedIn feed at the start of the year and it seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up. The Dublin office is a great place to work and I’m looking forward to growing with the company, and contributing to the forward momentum that’s been built up.
What do you enjoy most about working at Informatica?
So far the best thing about working at Informatica is the people. I’m the only member of the procurement team in EMEA so at first I was worried that I would end up quite isolated but everyone is really friendly and inclusive. I work as part of a great team and they have welcomed me with open arms and helped me find my feet. I got a chance to meet the wider finance team when I went to the Global finance offsite in July and that was a fantastic experience to meet everyone and interact face to face.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you.
Since I’m only here a couple of months there is probably a lot that people don’t know about me but here are 3 off the top my head.
If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why?
I would probably be Dr.Strange because his powers are pretty awesome. He is like a Kung-Fu master who doesn’t age and can manipulate time plus as an added bonus I could pass as just a normal guy if I wanted; unlike the hulk or someone.
What advice would you give to job seekers looking to join Informatica?
I would advise anyone looking to join Informatica to just be yourself in the interviews. If you are the right person to work here, then you are going to have a great experience at Informatica and love your job. However, if you have to act differently to get the job, then you probably are not going to be happy and everyday will be miserable trying to keep up the act, and life is too short to hate your career.
