Your Opportunity

The Senior Resource Manager supports the strategic and tactical functions associated with the collection of and maintenance of both resource and project data used to support Informatica Professional Services resource management. This individual will direct report to the RPMO director and work with project managers, delivery leadership to execute the resource management processes assembling teams that are qualified to perform the work and financially aligned with project budget and schedule plans.   This is a professional individual contributor position.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined process steps are required.  Candidate must be comfortable working in a high-stress and often ambiguous environment and must be comfortable pushing back to positions of authority.  Candidate must have a sense of urgency and a strong customer service orientation. Technical aptitude is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership over all staffing, forecasting, and skills maintenance/development responsibilities for a practice, with responsibility for fulfilling staffing requests, understanding required skills, flagging operations issues, and seeking information from field.
  • Prepare the resource worksheets/data for weekly update distribution
  • Distribute worksheet/data to project managers for updates
  • Communicate with project managers regarding updates to information if not received by published deadlines
  • Combine data from weekly update process for recirculation before publishing
  • Update data in supporting applications with requests and resource data changes
  • Facilitate the fulfillment of staffing requests and prioritizing resource requests, working with delivery leadership and other team members to ensure the right staff assignments are made in right timeframes
  • Flag resource allocation conflicts and identify and recommend solutions for resolution in partnership with delivery leadership.
  • Liaise with international teams and vendors where appropriate to identify solutions from a variable workforce.
  • Lead Resource Staffing & Interlock status meetings. Prepare and distribute materials, and capture and complete all follow up actions and notes.
  • Interacts with project managers to provide guidance and best practices, enforces process compliance, and tracking of important project metrics.
  • Assist in the creation of regular and ad hoc reports (as applicable)
  • Analyze data from standard reporting process to develop specialized reports on resource needs, conflicts and over allocations and recommend solutions to mitigate resource gaps and surpluses (hiring, retraining, shadowing, etc).
  • Review and recommend modifications to internal processes and systems as needed for project control, operations review and Professional Services support.  May lead improvement or automation projects where applicable
  • Conduct research to identify alternate staffing solutions and/or alternate processes for improvement
  • Provide process training to field and monitor/report compliance with established processes.  Flag issues to the management team.
  • Oversees, and may administer, IT systems that aid in the completion of project and resource management.
  • May provide knowledge share and mentorship to lesser scoped Resource Manager roles

Requirements & Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree is preferred or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Business analysis experience in resource management is a plus
  • Financial Force, Openair or any Professional Services Automation (PSA) application experience is a plus
  • Microstrategy, PowerBI or any Business Intelligence/Analytics tool experience is a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required.  Should be familiar with other Microsoft programs including PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Must be a self-starter.  Must be responsive to phone and email and operate with a sense of urgency.
  • Must have leadership skills.
