Position Title: Manager, People Business Partner

External Description:

Implements corporate policy at the business unit or division level. Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues. May play a significant role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization. Resolves employee relations issues through a systematic approach. Assists senior management in the development of solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development. Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock option grants renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change). Often viewed as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, counsel and consultative solutions to executives on people management aspects of their business, to include driving organizational development, team effectiveness, executing change management strategy and employee engagement solutions.
  • Collaborates and consults with COE leadership/staff on the design and delivery of HR programs to deliver effective solutions to the business.   Drives execution of program implementation, policies and initiatives through direct report team.
  • Acts as the advocate for leading the talent management and development plans for the business unit with a focus on enhancing the quality of leaders and managers, building skills and capabilities of the workforce and ensuring succession bench strength.
  • Directing, developing and driving business unit’s global workforce plan and human capital strategies by acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the business, not limited to budget, revenue and product and portfolio roadmaps.  Partners with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Finance to ensure a feasible, pro-active workforce plan is in place and well executed.
  • Partners with HRIS leadership/staff to develops and monitor regular and ad-hoc reports to ensure HR business metrics are quantified and outcome driven. Able to identify trends and proactively recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
  • Knowledge of local and international employment regulations and practices.
  • Attracts, manages and develops a strong team and provides appropriate leadership, structure, coaching and development.
  • At this level, team is typically country or sub-region specific, with accountability for cross BU, country level business support with routine engagement with business VP/SVP levels

Education/Experience

  • BA/BS or equivalent educational background is preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
