Position Title: QA Engineer

External Description:

As part of the growing R&D organization in Tel Aviv, we are looking for an automation Quality Assurance (QA) engineer who is passionate about testing software to drive world-class quality in our product.

The engineer will be part of an innovating development team which is part of a global group, and will concentrate on developing and executing exploratory and automated tests to ensure the quality of a cloud application, using diverse technologies in Agile methodology, while working directly with Development, UX, PM and other functional groups.

 Position definition:

• Member of Informatica’s R&D organization in Tel Aviv.
• Part of an experienced, energetic and innovating team, on a rapid, agile development schedule.
• Participate in test development and specification and the design of the product.
• Write fully automated server side and client side tests using JAVA.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools, dockers and Jenkins.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

 Requirements:

• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Hands-on experience in Java, databases and LINUX OS.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
• Able to write Functional, Integration and Regression test cases from requirements/stories.
• Cloud QA technologies- an advantage.
• Agile and versatile, self-starter with strong self-management skills.

 Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Design, develop and execute JAVA reusable automated tests from a variety of interfaces.
• Install and maintain automation tools and build machines.
• Install and maintain our product on different cloud platforms.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Identify, record, document, track and verify bugs.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. PMs, UX, devOps) to identify product requirements.
• Liaise with external teams (e.g. cloud devOps, Informatica Security, AWS) to identify system requirements and production troubleshooting.

 The following skills are an advantage:

• Experience building automated environments – big advantage.
• Experience writing chef scripts – big advantage.
• Previous participation in Agile development.
• Proven innovation record.
• Familiarity with open source tools such as Jenkins, Selenium.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Azure, S3.
