The Senior Manager, External Reporting and Technical Accounting will report to the Assistant Controller and manage a team of two individuals, including the Manager/Senior Analyst, External Reporting and Technical Accounting. This position's primary role will be managing the Company's external reporting process and conducting research on various technical accounting matters that could impact the Company's financial statements and global accounting policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all external reporting requirements, including preparation and timely submission of all quarterly and annual financial statements, and other reporting assignments as required.
• Research and analyze technical accounting and financial reporting issues (such as ASC 842 new lease guidance, etc.), assess impact to organization, formalize positions and recommendations, write/review white-papers and ensure reporting compliance, and provide necessary training to accounting team and foreign finance teams.
• Evaluate applicability of new accounting literature to ensure accounting activities are both regulatory and U.S. GAAP compliant
• Interface with external auditors to act as a liaison between the auditors and the accounting team to ensure that all filings are made in advance of required deadlines.
• Responsible for preparing/reviewing balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and statements of stockholders’ equity.
• Responsible for all technical accounting and recording related to company equity programs.
• Involvement in special projects and ad-hock tasks (e.g. – M&A due diligence, purchase accounting merger integration, provide assistance to accounting team as necessary, coordinate with various teams for 409a valuation, etc.)

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 6-8 years of related experience
• CPA required
• Minimum of 5 years of recent Big 4 public accounting experience with technology company focus
• Exceptional communication skills, including an ability to listen to the needs of the business, research and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and simplified manner, and present findings and recommendations in both oral and written presentations
• Ability to lead, organize, and manage projects beginning to end that require coordinated efforts across multiple functions (e.g., Accounting, Revenue, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Legal, Operations)
• A strong understanding of accounting, internal controls, auditing techniques and methodology
• Hands on SEC experience is highly desired
• Working knowledge of systems such as Workiva, Shareworks and/or Oracle Cloud is highly desired
