The Informatica Cloud team is responsible for ensuring high quality, including performance and scalability of Informatica Cloud products. Engineers in the team are responsible for initiating and developing test cases, managing documents, participating in reviews, running and reporting issues, and automating the cases.

Your Responsibilities

In this individual contributor role, you will report to the Sr Director of Operations, Informatica Cloud, and be based in the company’s Redwood City, CA location.  You will be responsible to:

• Help architect the SaaS Cloud deployment, collaborating with R&D teams to design the 'next-gen' application deployment architecture developing the orchestration strategy and automation framework for the product delivery process.
• Operate and administer the Informatica Cloud Services (ICS) platform and infrastructure using Chef/Ansible/Jenkins/Maven and various other deployment tools along with monitoring tools deployed on both Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Mature and Support the agile software development process among cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product delivery and rapid product iteration.
• Perform incident/alert troubleshooting, problem analysis and provide high quality solutions and documentation to technical issues.
• Liaise with the Informatica Security Council to manage and define ICS application security and compliance standards.
• Design and implement the PSR strategy at the service layers to measure and improve application efficiency and effectiveness.
• Maintain, implement and test the Disaster Recovery process.
• Implement standard methods for metric collection and aggregation across the entire stack to facilitate data-driven decisions.
• Manage RCA, Incident Process, and Risk Analysis of Informatica Cloud Services ensuring we never see the same incident twice. Feedback into development groups along with architectural suggestions to improve resiliency should be second nature.
• Rotate into the advanced on call escalation path.

 Your Qualifications

• 7 or more years of overall service delivery experience, of which at least 5 years are in managing Cloud operation production environments and critical business services. 
• At least 2 years of experience managing Cloud hosting infrastructure, such as Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced LAMP (Linux+Apache Tomcat + MySQL+PHP) Web Application management expertise.
• Experience with Networking technology: such as DYN/NetNames, Load balancers, security groups and network separation.
• Experience with self-healing clustering technologies such as zookeeper, consul and familiarity with the design for failure methodology.
• Strong knowledge of Cloud automation deployment process using Orchestration management, such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet.
•  Deep knowledge in setting up logging/monitoring tool, such as Nagios, Zabbix, Sensu, ELK or SumoLogic.
• Strong procedural language knowledge, such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
• Excellent performance optimization skills such as bottleneck tracking and remediation.
• Ability to work under considerable pressure managing multiple tasks and priorities with a can do attitude without sacrificing quality.
• Strong interpersonal and team communications skills are essential.

 Plus points for

• Extensive knowledge of performing compliance and security audits and experience in defining, configuring, and implementing disaster recovery processes.
• Advanced MySQL DB schema design and performance tuning abilities.
• F5 or equivalent configuration
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent or an advanced degree
