Reporting to the DSG Specialists EMEA Manager, you will join an EMEA-wide team of specialists who provide an expert level service to the wider field Sales and Pre-Sales community. 

Your Opportunity 

Informatica is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional pre-sales specialist who wants to continue their career specialising in one of Informatica’s key growth areas: Data Security Group (DSG). The role is open to candidates based either in The Netherlands, Ireland, France or Germany, with responsibility across EMEA, supporting the regional Sales & Pre-Sales teams with in-depth DSG expertise. As part of the EMEA Specialist team, this will involve: 

• Bringing advanced technology and product knowledge into solution sales opportunities to assist the field in complex engagements
• Providing enablement to the Pre-Sales community on new and advanced capabilities of our DSG solutions
• Providing interface between the field Pre-Sales and other technology functions within Informatica, for escalations, product direction and feedback
• Evangelizing the value of the technology to the regional sales teams to help increase the number and the size of the opportunities 

Your Responsibilities 

• Support field opportunities with expert level knowledge:
• • Taking ownership in obtaining "technical closure" where the specialist team are responsible for leading an opportunity;
  • Provide expert assistance to the region Pre-Sales teams, where opportunity ownership is aligned to the field;
  • Conduct detailed architecture pitch/reviews of all DSG and adjacent technologies, solutions or domain areas.;
  • Demonstrate and execute POC’s where advanced capabilities are required, or regional team is lacking resource to cover subject matter;
  • Create repeatable counter strategies to competitive threats and provide subject matter material to support the broader Pre-Sales team;
  • For field issues involving DSG and adjacent technologies, solutions or domain areas. provide ownership and arbitration for field escalation into other technology functions within Informatica. 

• Technical Advocate for a given subject matter or domain expertise:
• • Collect, prioritise and build a case based on multiple opportunities for the future solution direction into R&D;
  • Actively participate in knowledge exchange and in Alpha & Beta testing cycles;
  • Review/Validate and provide feedback on Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and Market Requirement Documents (MRD);
  • Maintain expert level knowledge in DSG and adjacent technologies, solutions or domain areas. 

• Provide Enablement to broader Pre-Sales community:
• • Contribute and maintain the knowledge of commonly-used demo’s, presentations and FAQ’s
  • Coordinate and deliver presentations or hands-on sessions to ensure the field Pre-Sales community maintain sufficient knowledge of your segment of our overall portfolio;
  • Coach & mentor key regional field Pre-Sales people who will take the lead role, at a regional level, for your area of expertise. The goal is to enable the regional teams to be self sufficient, rather than continually providing remote assistance;
  • Contribute to the knowledge base of subject matter material for DSG and adjacent technologies, solutions or domain areas. 

• Share knowledge across the team and continuously develop and enhance personal and team capabilities. 

Your Qualifications 

• At least five years Pre-Sales experience in delivering enterprise software solutions to Fortune 500 customers
• Ideally a few years of practical working experience with data security concepts and adjacent technologies such as Data Masking and data security profiling Technology
• Deep “hands-on” level experience with mainstream relational database management systems
• Experience with enterprise applications
• Good “hands-on” level experience with mainstream UNIX and Windows operating systems
• Competent SQL knowledge
• Positive elements are knowledge of Informatica’s product portfolio and technical notions of Big Data and Hadoop technology
• Excellent presentation skills
• Willingness to travel internationally in Europe
• Strong English skills required and other European languages would be an advantage
