• Extracting and loading metadata across a wide variety of source systems that include DI, DM, BI and Relational sources
• Discover and profile sources to derive meaningful statistics
• Provides a rich UI interface for searching metadata and provides lineage and relationship of various metadata assets
• Leverages a variety of big data technologies
• Uses machine learning and other AI techniques to leverage the industry-leading metadata capabilities of the Informatica Intelligent Data Platform to accelerate and automate core data management and governance processes.

 

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer with a proven record of developing and delivering enterprise class software. In this role, you will be responsible for design, architecture and delivery of machine learning and AI features and components to enhance CLAIRE.. You will work in a fast-paced environment delivering product and feature increments in short iterations. Your technical skills will be very critical to deliver product functionalities across releases.

We expect you to have a strong background in Machine Learning and can apply that knowledge to solve complex problems in the areas of classification and recommendation; and other problem domains. Your technical capability to understand the product in a short time and adapt to new circumstances will be well received.  Having an excellent sense of time management to meet deadlines is quite important. You will also be required to help your peers to meet their goals and set an example for good work procedures.

 

Your Responsibilities

As an integral part of the CMG, R&D team you will be responsible for the following –

 

1. Write high quality code using your in-depth knowledge of Java, Machine Learning, and related technologies
2. Design applications and functionality by leveraging available machine learning models and related libraries.
3. Be very hands-on and own/drive key product features
4. Collaborate effectively with peer engineers, and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end components & features.
5. Demonstrate ability to multi-task
6. Handle customer escalations that are routed to R&D from Global customer support (would require you to re-prioritize your tasks efficiently)
7. Gather and interpret broad requirement specifications from customers/Product Management that are not yet fully defined.
8. Produce functional specs and designs based on high level requirements.
9. Estimates efforts, identify risks, meet project schedules.
10. Develop excellent understanding in breadth and depth of Informatica’ s products and contribute to future roadmap and goals
11. Be a proven performer and team player that enjoy challenging assignments in a high-energy and fast growing distributed workplace
12. Conduct technical interviews. Demonstrate ability to judge candidate’s all-round suitability for a position.
13. Work in an agile software development team delivering product and feature increments in short iterations
14. Mentoring and providing technical guidance to other team members

 

 

Your Qualifications

-BE/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related fields.
-Excellent coding and design skills in Java

Expert in Machine learning technology

-6-8 years of experience in developing innovative enterprise products

-Familiar with open-source frameworks and API standards.
-Strong understanding of Object oriented design and programming.
-Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
-Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
-Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with Tomcat, Eclipse, Ant/Maven and OSGI.
-Familiarity with Agile process will be an added advantage
