Our Team

The Business Development Team is instrumental in developing leads and filling pipeline to help the Informatica sales organization manage, maximize and close sales in a defined geographical and/or horizontal territory. The team plays a vital role not only with regard to subscription revenue generation, but also with Informatica’s reputation in the marketplace. The team is a frontline evangelist and the direct line to customers and prospects.

Your Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Development Manager with experience managing a team of sales people or a business development team. You will have the opportunity to succeed as a leader in a growing industry. You will leverage your experience, inter-personal and analytical skills and energy to meet team goals.


Your Responsibilities

You will manage a business development team as they contact customers and prospects daily via phone to identify leads and sales-ready opportunities. You’ll set goals and develop each person on the team. Using your prospecting and CRM skills, you’ll mentor and guide the team to achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly pipeline and forecast goals as well as other defined objectives.
Hire and train Business Development representatives to meet the requirements of the position
• Talk time/Dial targets
• Set meetings for Sales reps
• Funnel contribution targets
• Execution of prospecting campaign
• Team closely with Informatica sales and marketing counterparts to strategize regional funnel and prospecting planning
• Ensure all service level commitments to marketing on lead follow-up are met
• Provide new Business Development reps with the necessary training, coaching and guidance to ensure early success
• Work closely with Product Marketing, Inside and Direct Sales, Customer Marketing, Pre-Sales, and Alliances
• Leverage all possible product training and applicable sales training on an ongoing basis


Your Qualifications

• 3+ years successful management experience
• 3+ years successful Business Development / Lead Generation experience
• Prior experience generating pipeline for SaaS/cloud business at a reputable company
• Demonstrated success navigating complex organizations to generate interest and demand
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding measurable goals in a highly automated metrics- based phone prospecting environment
• Strong forecasting accuracy
• Strong knowledge of salesforce.com dashboards and reporting
• Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of business organization structures, buying influences and purchasing processes
• Ability to foster team orientation with counterparts
• Excellent organizational, analytical, written and verbal skills
• Sales affinity, including curiosity, competitiveness, customer care/win-win attitude
• BA/BS and/or equivalent experience
• Computer skills and aptitude
• Knowledge of cloud application and/or data integration and related technology a plus
