Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal operations professional to launch and lead the legal operations function at Informatica. Legal Operations is focused primarily on driving efficiency and productivity, implementing a state of the art technology infrastructure to streamline and automate processes, promoting professional development, improving knowledge management and sharing capabilities and improving communications and collaboration globally for the Informatica Legal department. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with the various functions in the Legal department, as well as other internal stakeholders including finance, HR, sales operations, information security and other operational groups.
The role will report to Chief Legal Officer and is directly responsible for managing other employees

Your Responsibilities

• Launching and leading the Legal Operations function in a growing global software company in the midst of a business transformation.
• Identifying and implementing methods to improve department efficiency and productivity
• Managing department technology initiatives including knowledge management, contract management, and ethics hotline
• Developing, managing and implementing strategies/programs to manage expenses and performance (e.g., performance scorecard) of outside counsel and other vendors
• Interfacing with Finance for budgeting, forecasting and monitoring actual performance against budgets and forecasts
• Manage, maintain and administer corporate structure and legal entity management system, in coordination with Finance and outside counsel.
• Implement/manage department metrics, benchmarking and reporting
• Implement/manage training and professional development initiatives, including coordination of large legal team events.
• Liaison with legal management team to prioritize and resource appropriately
• Participate in industry legal operations conferences, industry benchmarking studies, and create a network to provide recommendations on best practices.
• Understands the client groups, strategy, challenges, business initiatives and business model.
• Consults with senior management to influence and facilitate the development of their organizational priorities and related change initiatives.
• Able to identify trends and proactively recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Develops and supports location programs and initiatives, including supporting Informatica’s Culture and Values.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years’ experience in legal operations or legal program management. Hands on experience managing legal or operational programs/projects/processes
• Passionate about testing new ideas and innovating to drive results.
• Strong communication and influencing skills combined with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and execution skills and ability to deliver to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
• Familiarity with legal technology solutions (including Contract Mgmt, e-billing)
• Strong project management skills
• Viewed as a resource for advice and guidance by peers and senior leaders.
• Ability to analyze data and propose methods for continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in a fast moving and changing environment.
• Able to build relationships, develop credibility with internal clients and legal team.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required and 6+ years of relevant experience (including at least 3+ years in Legal Operations).
• Experience supporting VP+ level.
• Experience supporting remote workers.
• Experience in a growing, global software development environment is preferred.
