Informatica Live Data Map is an integral part of the Intelligence Data Platform and provides a single version of metadata information across any organization’s data asset. Live Data Map as a platform is responsible for

• Extracting and loading metadata across a wide variety of source systems that include DI,DM, BI and Relational sources
• Discover and profile sources to derive meaningful statistics
• Provides a rich UI interface for searching metadata and also provides lineage and relationship of various metadata assets
• Leverages a variety of big data technologies.

 

Your Opportunity

 

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a proven record of developing and delivering enterprise class software. In this role, you will be responsible for design, implementation and delivery of small to medium size front-end functionality of a product or component. You will work in a fast paced environment delivering product and feature increments in short iterations. Your technical skills will be very critical to deliver product functionalities across releases.

Your Responsibilities

As an integral part of the Core Metadata R&D team you will be responsible for the following –

 

1. Write high quality code using your in-depth knowledge of core Java.
2. Be very hands-on and own assigned product features
3. Collaborate effectively with peer engineers, and architects to solve complex problems spanning their respective areas to deliver end-to-end components & features.
4. Produce functional specs and designs based on high level requirements.
5. Estimates efforts, identify risks, meet project schedules.
6. Develop excellent understanding in breadth and depth of Informatica's products.
7. Be a proven performer and team player that enjoy challenging assignments in a high-energy and fast growing distributed workplace
8. Work in an agile software development team delivering product and feature increments in short iterations

 

Your Qualifications

 

-BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields.
-Good understanding of Hadoop and Spark and distributed systems is a plus

-Excellent coding and design skills in Java

-Strong understanding of REST

-Strong understanding of Object oriented design and programming.
-Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.

-Ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment.
-Familiar with Java open-source and API standard.
-Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with Tomcat, XML will be an added advantage.
-Familiar with Linux and to some extent big data environments like Cloudera, Hortonworks, etc. will be an added advantage

-At least 1-3 years of enterprise software development experience
