The Informatica University team ensures our customers’ success with our software products. We provide an extensive curriculum offered by product, as well as by role. Classes are delivered via live and virtual modalities for public and private classes, as well as onDemand content an asynchronous learning experience.

Your Opportunity

The Global Education Infrastructure team is responsible primarily for classroom and virtual training delivery infrastructure services. Responsibilities include support of all systems including LMS, scheduling tools, training system architecture, requirements, engineering and deployment of training images and class infrastructure. This team is also responsible for providing customer support for technical issues related to delivery of both self-paced and live training.

The position requires significant interaction with stakeholders and vendors to identify, specify, negotiate and deploy process, software and hardware solutions, supporting and driving innovation and improvement in training delivery and customer experience. The candidate should be able to understand business problems, align technical solutions to them, and manage projects to implement them.

The candidate will be expected to understand customer needs and the software education delivery landscape, as well as the latest technological and business innovations, in order to support and drive improvement of training delivery. Candidate should have a combination of both technical and business skills and be capable of balancing business demands against technical capabilities, budgets, and implementation schedules.

Your Responsibilities

The manager in this position will be charged with driving technical services that support revenue generation and/or significant cost savings, both driven within own team, by partnering with other internal organizations, and by identifying technology that can be leveraged to enhance customer experience. 

The position requires significant interaction with stakeholders and vendors to identify, specify, negotiate and deploy process, software and hardware solutions, supporting and driving innovation and improvement in training delivery and customer experience. The candidate should be able to understand business problems, align technical solutions to them, and manage projects to implement them.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of all education technical systems and tools
  • Maintenance of all training images and classroom infrastructure
  • Creation and documentation of service and technical requirements
  • Define and deliver standard practices and customer service levels
  • Drive streamlined team processes
  • Delivery metrics reporting
  • Vendor and license management

Your Qualifications

  • 4+ years related and progressively responsible experience in the technology field, preferably in a software education organization
  • Experience with Virtualization tools like VMware, Bare Metal,
  • Good exposure to Windows and Unix Operating systems including automation tools
  • Strong experience in systems design and support
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, as well as communication skills
  • Self-motivated and directed, comfortable working in a fast-paced, small company environment
  • Hands-on, energetic individual, who excels at building and maintaining long-term relationships, can build rapport and trust with teams and understands the unique needs of the software education business.
