As part of our continuing success and ambitious growth plans, we are seeking a big thinker with deep Master Data Management (MDM) knowledge and experience to contribute to our strong leadership in this practice area. You will specialise in one of Informatica’s key growth areas: Master Data Management (MDM). The role will be based in Paris, France, but part of an EMEA practice, supporting the MDM client implementations with in-depth MDM expertise. Working either independently, with or within a team, you will have the opportunity to work at the front end in a rapidly growing business. Informatica believes consultant training is essential to customer success, and therefore, is core to each consultant’s career plan. As a Senior Consultant you will be responsible for project success and participating in consulting project activities including source data analysis, software design, implementation, testing, client training and deployment hence we are looking for candidate with a proven capability in the areas of Requirements Gathering, Discovery Workshops, Data Modelling, Design, Software-configuration and Project leading. You will identify potential software sales opportunities.

Your responsibilities:

•  Implement and deliver high quality customer solutions in adherence to Informatica’s methodology  
•  Develop logical and physical database schemas, stored procedures, interfaces (in Java or XML), and extensions to customer proprietary solutions  
•  Provide technical depth concerning Informatica’s solutions in discussions with customers, partners and internal resources 
•  Share knowledge across the team and continuously develop and enhance personal and team capabilities.  
•  Identify potential Informatica software sales opportunities with customer’s and notify the relevant field representative accordingly through Informatica’s sales referral program 
•  Promote the use of the Informatica Velocity Methodology on all Informatica projects and provide training and coaching in the methodology’s best practices. 
•  Adhere to all internal reporting requirements in a timely manner e.g. Time and Expense reporting. 
•  Respect and adhere to customer and internal Company rules and disclosures at all times.

Required skills & experience

  • Hands-on experience of Informatica Master Data Management tools - or similar competitive products - is essential;
  • Good handle on current trends in data integration, data quality and business analytics technologies;
  • Experience in performing Project Manager/lead role is desirable but not necessary;
  • Knowledge of the Informatica Velocity Methodology would be an advantage but not necessary;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to facilitate discussions and drive toward quick decisions Professional on-site customer integration experience, preferably with a large systems integration firm or for an enterprise software services;
  • Experience developing conceptual and physical solution architectures for solutions incorporating heterogeneous applications, technologies and platforms;
  • Thorough understanding of data modelling, physical schema properties, triggers, and stored procedures;
  • 5+ years programming/analysis/design/administration;
  • 3+ years experience with either Oracle and/or DB2/UDB 4+ years in a J2EE environment including experience with application servers (WebLogic, WebSphere and/or JBoss) ;
  • Experience designing and deploying in a Services Oriented Architecture and/or an Events Driven Architecture  Ability to "think big" and grasp the overall picture, including the business drivers;
  • Must be able to solve problem outside your areas of expertise;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Fluent in French;
  • Ability to travel in Europe;
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Windows or UNIX shell script programming;
  • Experience with BPM tools
  • Ability to automate administration tasks, perform capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning and administer security 
  • Experience with optimization of high volume databases (>300GB) and large, distributed J2EE applications 
  • Experience with Solaris/HP/Windows/AIX Server administration (recovery skills important) 
  • General understanding of CRM and/or ERP packages (SAP, Oracle, Siebel and PeopleSoft) 
  • General understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL tools 
  • Experience with messaging software 
  • Experience in a Team Lead role with excellent Customer Service Experience or Delivery Team Leadership experience
