We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support our organization across UK, Ireland & Nordics on a 12-15 fixed term contract. Start date 1st January 2018.

Based in our Maidenhead office, the HR Generalist role is responsible for building close relationships within the client base to advise and guide on the people aspects of business decisions and to ensure such decisions are aligned with Company culture and enhance organisational performance.

The role will report to the Director of Human Resources for UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands & Nordics (also based in Maidenhead) and will support clients across all functions – Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services, Marketing, Business Development, Global Customer Support, R&D, IT, Legal, Finance & Educational Services.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle HR administration processes from on-boarding to off-boarding talent.
  • Administration of all employee changes including preparation of employment contracts, new hire documentation, processing of employee changes and associated paperwork, processing leaver documentation etc
  • Manage employee data, both physically and electronically and ensure accuracy and timely updates occur.  Maintains hard copy and electronic employee files.
  • Provides general HR advisory services to management and employees across the business.  Explains policies, practices and provides guidance on HR matters such as recruitment, resource planning, salary recommendations, performance/development, attendance and day-to-day employee/labour relations. 
  • Manage and administer absence management policies and procedures while ensuring there is appropriate tracking and reporting.
  • Facilitate relevant employee communications including updates on company news, benefits and company events such as wellness initiatives and company celebrations.
  • Creates, maintains and communicates global and local policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively on projects across all HR regions and functions.
  • Assist in planning and implementing the annual performance management and compensation review processes, provide training to managers on the review process, answer manager’s questions, provide recommendations on the performance evaluations and development goals as needed.
  • Assist in driving the annual HR plan and objectives in partnership with local leadership including goal-setting, employee development, employee survey feedback, and talent planning.
  • Provide guidance and execute internal promotions, new hire compensation, market/equity adjustments
  • Coach and assists managers on issues including employee development and performance issues.
  • Manage employee relations issues, empowering managers to proactively lead the process.  Coordinate and participate in employee relation meetings (disciplinary hearings, poor performance, consultation with employees, etc.)
  • Conduct and analyse employee exit interviews.
  • Act as primary point of contact for employees on benefits related questions.
  • Monitor and ensure company compliance with changing employment laws, update management as necessary.
  • Manage ensure compliance with regards to visa and relocation requirements as they arise. 
  • Undertaken pre-employment and/or pre-engagement screening.
  • Acts as a resource to both employees and managers for employee relations matters.
  • Advises and guides managers in best practice performance management.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in HR Management, Business, or related field.
  • CIPD qualified / part qualified highly desired.
  • HR administration experience, including new hire processing and paperwork, benefits administration, etc
  • Experience operating as HR Generalist, working across areas including employee relations, recruitment, performance review cycle, legal issues relating to HR.
  • Desirable to have experience using Workday.
  • A thorough working understanding of UK & Ireland employment law plus, ideally, Sweden and Denmark.
  • Experience in a growing, global software development environment is preferred.
  • Experience owning employee relations issues from start to resolution.
  • Experience in communicating and building relationships with senior and executive leaders.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to gather unrefined business requirements from multiple sources and formulate and deliver a solution in a timely manner.
  • Viewed as a resource for advice and guidance by peers and senior leaders.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others in an informal or formal setting.
  • Fluency in English language is required.
