The CloudTrust team powers Informatica’s transformation and ensures that all our cloud platform and products are available, performant and safe. We implement industry-leading technologies and practices to bake in scalability, reliability and security during product design, help teams reliably deploy global products at scale, and ensure global DevOps and Customer Support teams have the tools and data they need to safely monitor and manage our customer data and workloads. The Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) platform is powering Informatica’s transformation to host all Informatica cloud products. Our Ideal Candidate

You are a seasoned cloud operations leader, focused on customer success, continuous improvement and operational excellence at a global scale. You have a track record of building, growing and mentoring best-in-class architecture, engineering, infrastructure operations, and site reliability teams at a global cloud scale powering successful SaaS brands. You excel at partnering with product engineering teams to meet rapid release cycles, building innovative cloud solutions to sustainably solve novel problems at scale, and are energized working in fast-paced environment with multiple, iterative cloud product releases and interdependencies.

You strike the balance of operational excellence, growth and experimentation by employing a “paved road” approach that enforces operational rigor while safely enabling innovation. You are comfortable leading an executive discussion with our customers and also driving complex troubleshooting sessions to solve the next CloudOps@Scale challenge. You are results- and metrics-driven while also tapping into your strong partnerships across the company and industry to lead the timely delivery of complex initiatives.

Your Opportunity

Based in Redwood City, CA, you will be responsible for the global cloud operations teams that powers Informatica’s new cloud platform and product offerings. This rapidly growing team is responsible for the architecture, engineering, and operations of the cloud infrastructure and core services, including safe deployment of cloud products and their reliability. You will ensure that the global infrastructure meets projected capacity and performance demands, with the right mix of innovative core services to enable rapid deployments at scale, stays compliant and safe against our global regulatory and security requirements, and provide teams the best-in-class monitoring and site reliability capabilities to safely innovate and operate at a global cloud scale.

You will partner with world class business and engineering leaders to deliver the next generation cloud platform and products, leveraging our growing list of ecosystem partner technologies such as Amazon AWS, Saleforce.com, and Microsoft Azure, to provide transformational and reliable cloud services to our customers.

Your responsibilities:

  • Set the global vision and strategy for cloud infrastructure architecture, engineering, operations, and site reliability teams and partners for Informatica’s cloud platform and products.
  • Build, grow, and mentor a world-class team that delivers a scalable, reliable, and safe infrastructure for our global cloud platform and products. Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, innovation and collaboration; your team is referred to as a thought leader for CloudOps@Scale.
  • Deliver infrastructure and operations services against an integrated product roadmap by partnering with your R&D peers, Global Customer Service and other teams to deliver highly available, scalable, compliant products.
  • Drive cultural change as an integral part of Informatica's transformation.
  • Ensure continuous availability and performance of the Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services platform including architecture and operational reviews, incident management and disaster recovery, and proactive fault engineering.
  • Manage KPIs and metrics that ensure a high bar for uptime, provide deep visibility into the health of the platform, and incorporate them into cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives. Establish baselines and track against industry benchmarks and standards.
  • Ensure our customers are successful on their digital transformation journeys by providing a safe, scalable and reliable cloud environment to run their workloads and process their data.

Your Qualification

  • Track record of successfully building and scaling all aspects of highly-available SaaS operations including: deep knowledge of infrastructure, global availability, 24x7 support, compliance, and site reliability practices
  • Experience overseeing cloud infrastructure operations via AWS, Azure, Google or similar
  • Demonstrated experience attracting, leading, and developing DevOps staff in a geographically dispersed environment
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive-level stakeholders to drive change across multiple business functions
  • Experience operating within audit, data protection and quality standards such as ISO27000, SOC2, FedRAMP, GDPR, and GxP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven experience articulating technical concepts to all audiences, including C-level executives and customers
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; proven ability to work effectively with technical contributors, management and executive leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field
