The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) will serve as a key member of the FP&A team, will serve as a key financial business partner to members of the executive management team, and will lead the FP&A team supporting the Customer Success, Maintenance Renewals, Subscription Renewals, and Adoption Services organizations. This position will report directly to the VP of BU FP&A.  The FP&A department will play a critical role as we chart the path for our next journey.

The Senior Manager, FP&A will be responsible for delivering value-added business analyses as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making and financial predictability.

The specific priorities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and manage a current team of 3 staff members.
  • Define, Document, and improve internal process and management of Renewal and Subscription metrics.
  • Assure the company and supported business units meet their financial goals and provide predictable financials through our forecast process.
  • Provide business partner support, value-added insights into the business, and recommendations.
  • Prepare a monthly reporting package that includes comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, operational Dashboard reporting, analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variances and comprehensive executive level explanations of differences.
  • Drive an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives.
  • Provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts and other ad-hoc financial projects.
  • Assist in the modeling and process changes needed to significantly help to the company transform and accelerate the move to maintaining leadership in the Cloud and increase the shift to a subscription business model.
  • Assist in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation material for the monthly and quarterly financial and business review meetings.
  • Provide a high level of thought process to drive improvement; recommend areas for improvement and lead projects to enhance the visibility and predictability of customer adoption, penetration, and renewability.
  • Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with other leaders on the finance team, including the geographic finance teams to ensure quality deliverables and proper information flow.

Our ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have 8 or more years of relevant professional experience, a portion of which was within a public company (high tech and/or subscription software experience is particularly attractive).  He/she has a strong strategic and results orientation with a track record of meeting or exceeding business objectives.  He/she will have technical competence with U.S. GAAP for related responsibilities, experience developing policies and procedures and supporting a robust control environment, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with various levels of the organization in support of goals and objectives.

He/she will work closely with the VP FP&A and various teams across the organization and around the world. This position provides exposure to key accounting, Board of Director, and internal reporting areas, offering development opportunities that can lead to advanced roles within the Finance organization or within other departments.

He/she has a track record of bringing value to their businesses based on revenue growth, customer experience and data-based insight.  He/she demonstrates an executive presence and interpersonal communication skills, and well-honed influencing skills

This individual is viewed as a key stakeholder and thought leader in driving, defining and executing the company’s financial planning strategy and can contribute to delivering value to client groups across the enterprise

Experience with modeling and reporting with Excel and with financial systems, particularly with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Microstrategy, and/or Oracle financials desired.
