Description

Informatica is currently looking for a Senior Java Back End Engineer with experience in data structures and data processing environments to join our team in Redwood City, CA.

As a Senior Java Back End Engineer, you will be responsible for developing prototypes, and improving algorithms across different use cases. In the role of Senior Java Back End Engineer, you must be able to work and adapt in a fluid, fast-paced environment. Working as the Senior Java Back End Engineer, you must have strong technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

 

Technology We Use:

• Java, C++, RDBMS, SQL, J2EE Spring Framework, Persistence Framework, Java SDK, REST, XML, JSON, Unix 

 

• Your Role
•  

• Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise
• Design and develop test plans and test cases based upon performance requirements and design specifications
• Execute test cases; analyze system/application resource usage/profile code to identify performance issues
• Lead and drive the delivery and architecture for large functional areas
• Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to provide high-quality, maintainable software that meets business and technology needs
• Assist customers and field engineers with troubleshooting issues
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve upon the development and build capabilities in the team
• Work across multiple teams and departments
• Participate in internal/cross team meetings, scoping, decision making and technical documentationRequired Experience:
•  

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development or performance engineering (data-intensive and multi-threaded service-oriented products)

• BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience
