Your Opportunity

The Technical Consultant is one of the key members of the Informatica Product Information Management (PIM) Professional Services Consulting Team and will be engaged on large strategic complex PIM projects. The role takes responsibility for leading the Technical Delivery and strategic discussions with our clients and alliance partners within different project situations. You will work closely with project team members from Informatica, our customer’s internal teams, and our alliance partners to ensure successful project delivery. Together with the Project Manager the Technical Consultant is responsible for quality and timely delivery of the project content for our customer.

It will be required to bring in deep technical knowledge of multiple subject areas, especially PIM, Asset Management, Content Management, Data Quality, e-procurement, data platforms (e.g. GS1) as well as a working knowledge of the architecture and technical systems involved in PIM, WCMS, Partner collaboration tools, MDM, and eCommerce and eProcurement functions. The ideal candidate will be articulate, convincing and will have excellent presentation skills as they will be required to collaboratively synthesize and present solutions and strategic approaches to Informatica’s clients and partners in implementation and pre-sales scenarios. The candidate will be able to deliver convincing presentations, to instill confidence in Informatica’s product and teams in the audience and be able to argue and hold their own on their viewpoints.

 

Your Responsibilities 

• You conceive and realize modules and applications based on Standard Software configurations. You also customize systems.
• You have a good base in Java Eclipse.
• You lead Data Migration and create technical documentations (System doc, Installation and technical documentation).
• You help the sales team providing estimations and lead the customer in workshops and training sessions.
  
  

Your Qualifications 

• Team player.
• Experience in gathering user requirements and full lifecycle application development.
• Experience in technical consulting in a technical arena, prior PIM/MDM experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Relevant industry experience.
• Project delivery experience managing large or complex data integration (DW, BI, MDM, B2B, ILM) projects as a Project Manager, Technical Lead, Lead Developer or Lead Business Analyst.
• Knowledge in Java, J2EE, JSP, JBoss, Spring, Hibernate, Systemarchitecture, Interfacedesign, Eclipse Plug-In Framework, XML-Technologies, XSLT, Subversion, CVS, relational databases like Microsoft SQL-Server oder Oracle 10g.
• Experience with SAP XI, IDOC, WSDL and SOAP.
• Must possess combination of technical depth, written/verbal communication and client management skills.
• Self-sufficiency in problem solving and knowledge acquisition from resources throughout the company.
• Skills and knowledge acquired through participation in the delivery of data integration initiatives in each of the following areas: change management, release management, configuration management, systems integration, systems development life cycle methodologies, quality assurance and testing, requirements gathering, and systems analysis and design.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism.
• Ability to successfully engage on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Fluency in German and English
• Willingness to travel up to 75% (home country and in EMEA).
