Your Opportunity

Informatica has recently acquired the Axon governance tool. To support this acquisition and to generate both licence and services growth, Informatica has recently formed a Professional Services Governance practice.

The role is to lead this practice and establish it as one of the key strategic service lines alongside Master Data Management and Big Data.

Our Ideal Candidate

The practice lead role provides the successful candidate the opportunity to grow a governance business that is currently green field into a key strategic pillar of the Professional Services business.

The Practice Lead should be able to demonstrate:

  1. Previous experience in managing a governance team and growing the practice to meet business demand and opportunities;
  2. Demonstrate sustained practice revenue growth;
  3. Governance subject matter expertise and experience in delivering governance engagements;
  4. Thought leadership including whitepapers, blogs, governance forums;
  5. Working within a software services organisation, developing professional services proposals alongside software sales;
  6. Ideally have experience working with Informatica Axon and/or other Informatica technologies

The practice lead will have the following governance experience:

  1. Delivery of large scale enterprise data governance programmes in global, complex organisations, across the entire lifecycle;
  2. Development of strategic enterprise wide projects covering critical aspects of data management, supporting Executive/Board level stakeholders to deliver to plan
  3. Development and improvement of client data management operations, data policies, processes, frameworks and data lifecycle
  4. Implementation and creation of data dictionaries, business glossaries, data quality & data governance tooling, reporting and dashboarding to enable continuous data improvement
  5. Working with major businesses to deliver projects responding to regulatory requirements. These can include GDPR, BCBS 239, Basel, FATCA.
  6. Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments and Data Protection Audits on business functions and key risk areas for regulatory compliance readiness
  7. Strong stakeholder management from most senior (C-level) to junior levels, developing client relationships gaining trusted advisor status
  8. Conducting Data Governance Maturity Assessments
  9. Deliver data governance roadmaps;
  10. Provide guidance on establishing solution and platform architecture to support governance;
  11. Review and optimization of governance processes

In addition, to the specific governance skills, the successful candidate should also be able to demonstrate:

  1. A combination of Technical depth, written/verbal communication, project management, and client management skills
  2. Must possess extensive analytical skills
  3. Self-sufficiency in problem solving and knowledge acquisition from resources throughout the company
  4. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written & verbal)
  5. Excellent presentation skills and strong negotiation skills
  6. Ability to anticipate and build contingency plans
  7. Expert Project Management skills including: estimating, scope management, budget management, time management, risk management, change management, issue/conflict resolution, communication management, quality management, testing plans, training plans, team management
  8. Skills and knowledge acquired through participation in the delivery of data integration initiatives in each of the following areas: change management, release management, configuration management, systems integration, systems development life cycle methodologies, quality assurance and testing, requirements gathering, and systems analysis and design
  9. Industry experience and project delivery experience managing large or complex projects as a Project Manager or Technical Lead,
  10. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  11. Strong history and track record of completing quality projects on time, as well as a proven track record coaching and mentoring others to success
  12. Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
  13. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential
  14. Ability to multi-task efficiently
  15. Willingness to travel up to 75%
