Informatica is seeking a dynamic, motivated and experienced leader to manage its IT applications delivery team pertaining to Web technologies. In this role the Manager will lead a highly skilled cross functional, global technical team in building solutions and managing multiple Mission Critical Web applications. This will cover Informatica’s corporate website, Communities, Marketplace, Single sign on as well as bespoke web applications that perform key enterprise functions like Product licensing and provisioning.

The role is based in Bangalore, the successful candidate will be a key member of a lean and high impact IT Applications team of over 75 people globally. The role is expected to play a key part in driving projects critical to Informatica’s digital transformation initiatives. challenging the team to be the best they can be, enabling the global delivery model so as to build and deliver using teams spread over multiple sites..

The ideal candidate has proven leadership in taking complex technical solutions from idea to implementation based on strong delivery processes, put in place support processes that successfully manage Mission Critical web systems including WCM systems  and building as well as motivating a strong delivery team.

You’re a passionate about technology and have excellent communication skills and like to lead a team of people in delivering robust, scalable solutions. You have strong development and solutioning track record on Web platform- preferably J2EE based platform. Applying your domain knowledge and communication you will ensure that the team you lead will function effectively as part of a global team. Your advanced problem-solving skills and technical aptitudes allow you to adapt to new circumstances and learn quickly when facing new problems and challenges. You are at home with delivering solutions based on agile delivery model.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving delivery on mission critical enterprise applications which are both customer facing applications as well as internal enterprise facing applications.
• Put in place process and control mechanisms to ensure effective support to the enterprise applications throughout the application life cycle having high availability (99.9%) and high SLA responsiveness
• Drive projects from Inception to delivery managing budget, timelines and quality goals. Identify, analyze, mitigate and proactively respond to project, financial and operational risks.
• Execute delivery process so that the distributed resources can work as an effective, objective driven and collaborative global team.
• Provide leadership and help foster a work culture that recognizes, supports individual differences in work-styles, personalities, cultures and values to maximize team performance and effectively achieve personal and team goals; to this end provide the coaching/mentoring needed.
• Putting in place a continuous improvement program with focus on identifying and implementing best practices, measuring performance and drive improvements in IT systems and processes.
• Partnering effectively with the IT business managers to define solution strategies and annual roadmaps; setting direction in all areas of responsibility, monitoring ongoing effectiveness, and overseeing redesign or redirection as appropriate
• Developing trust-based relationships based on direct and open communication that foster clear definition of priorities
• Providing project management support for IT initiatives; ensuring quality and conformance to methods, policies, standards, etc.
• Managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, new vendor selection processes, renewal solutions, maintenance and support.
• Be able to evolve to take on additional platform responsibilities outside the Web and Content Management domain to include other functions like Finance and Accounting processes.

 

Qualifications:

• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of IT delivery leadership experience based around Web Applications
• Demonstrated experience on Web Content Management Systems like AEM (preferred), SDL Tridiron, and Websphere.
• Track record of success in managing Web sites that are customer facing applications as well as internal Enterprise applications.
• Strong Experience (atleast 5 years) with building and managing J2EE based solutions
• Track record of success in planning, execution of short and medium term application roadmaps.
• Demonstrated ability in managing a global delivery model
• Demonstrated project management experience; PMP or Agile certification desirable but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to define, manage and measure Global IT delivery processes
• Strong leader with proven ability to manage resources, both FTE and Vendor; develop a high performing team of IT Professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a budget, measure performance, and optimize results.
• Experience in working in quality focused organizations which are CMM level 3 and higher is desirable.
• Effective relationship management, communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated success in dealing effectively with customers, vendors, peers and senior management.
• Strong fundamental development background in Java technologies
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills; able to multi task and prioritize effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills; ability to forge consensus among competing constituents on critical and time sensitive issues.
• Management style that exhibits high energy, efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness and a result orientation.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Key personal characteristics include being Ethical and values driven; innovative and open to different ideas/viewpoints.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Strong domain understanding of using and leveraging User Analytics to implement better Search experience and Personalized user experience using tools like Omniture and Woopra.
• Experience in developing and managing Web sites that are based on Fluid web development principles as well a lightweight frameworks like AngularJS and React
• Good understanding of agile delivery methodology
