Your Opportunity
The Business Consultant is a member of the Informatica Product Information Management (PIM) Professional Services Consulting Team and will be engaged on large strategic complex PIM projects. The role is responsible for leading the business consulting, and program and strategy discussions with our clients and alliance partners. You will work closely with project team members from Informatica, our customer
s internal teams, and our alliance partners to ensure successful project delivery. The Business Consultant is also responsible for the leadership, financial management, quality, and timely delivery of the project for our customer.

It will be required to exude deep business knowledge of multiple subject areas, especially PIM, Asset Management, Content Management, e-procurement, social and Mobile Solutions as well as a working knowledge of the architecture and technical systems involved in PIM, WCMS, Partner collaboration tools, MDM, and eCommerce and eProcurement functions. The ideal candidate will be articulate, convincing and will have excellent presentation skills as they will be required to collaboratively synthesize and present solutions and strategic approaches to Informatica s clients and partners in implementation and Pre-Sales scenarios. The candidate will be able to deliver convincing presentations, to instil confidence in Informatica s product and teams in the audience and be able to argue and hold their own on their viewpoints.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Perform PIM Business Consulting with Informatica clients and partners laying the foundation for a PIM system implementation, this will include implementation/rollout strategies, data and organizational governance, business processes and workflows (as is and to be), change management and others as needed for successful PIM program rollouts
  • Collaborate with Informatica Technical Consultants and Architects as well as partners to form a client facing project team.
  • Create appropriate documentation to support above responsibilities and others as required by the client and/or Informatica delivery methodologies.
  • Support Informatica Partners with the delivery of PIM solutions
  • Perform high-level scoping of project requirements.
  • Works with the leadership team to evaluate and/or contribute to SOWs, cost and schedule estimates.
  • Analyse client systems, processes and organizations and make recommendations based on the analysis.
  • Analyse user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems and applications.
  • Be proficient in the non development aspects, capabilities and limitations of the Informatica PIM suite of tools.
  • Support Business Development activities
  • Act as Project Manager for the overall initiative when there is no Project Manager assigned from the customers or partners’ organization
  • Provide the single point of contact for resolution of project related issues
  • Act as the primary interface point into Informatica broader technical teams to ensure the full breadth and depth of the Informatica organization is leveraged for the customers success
  • Communicate overall project status to the customer and to Informatica Professional Services management on a regular basis
  • Lead project meetings, including project kick-off, project status, steering committee, and other project stage gate meetings 
  • Provide overall project leadership and direct project teams in the delivery of high-quality products within committed timeframes and budgets
  • Work with project team members to define project tasks and milestones, and coordinate the alignment of dependencies both within the project and across other projects
  • Ensure complete understanding of the project estimates and project scope in order to lead the team to deliver within the boundaries of the given estimates and assumptions
  • Manage customer expectations regarding project scope, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with project team members and partners to ensure the right resources are working on the right tasks at the right time, with clear expectations of milestones and goals
  • Mentor project team members on Velocity methodology and drive utilization of consistent processes and deliverables
  • Keep Informatica internal systems updated on projects as required

 

Your Qualifications 

  • Experience in gathering user requirements and full lifecycle application development.
  • Experience in business consulting in a technical arena, prior PIM/MDM experience preferred.
  • Ability to analyse and understand complex workflows and processes, and to develop innovative approaches to streamlining and automating them.
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Project delivery experience managing large or complex data integration (DW, BI, MDM, B2B, ILM) projects as a Project Manager, Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Lead Business Analyst.
  • Must possess combination of technical depth, written/verbal communication, project management, and client management skills.
  • Self-sufficiency in problem solving and knowledge acquisition from resources throughout the company.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Excellent presentation skills and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to anticipate and build contingency plans.
  • Expert Project Management skills including: estimating, scope management, budget management, time management, risk management, change management, issue/conflict resolution, communication management, quality management, testing plans, training plans, team management.
  • Skills and knowledge acquired through participation in the delivery of data integration initiatives in each of the following areas: change management, release management, configuration management, systems integration, systems development life cycle methodologies, quality assurance and testing, requirements gathering, and systems analysis and design.
  • Strong history and track record of completing quality projects on time, as well as a proven track record coaching and mentoring others to success.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism.
  • Ability to successfully engage on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%.
