Your Opportunity

The Solution Architect operates in tandem with Strategic Account Managers to engage with prospects, customers, and partners throughout the entire sales lifecycle across Latin America. This position requires a highly skilled and experienced senior level professional with specific experience in technical management of clients’ business problems mapping solutions of people, process and technology, and an understanding of architectural principals. The position requires both technical and business skills, with an emphasis on being able to solve specific business issues using Informatica products and solutions across many product lines.

You have good conceptual or practical experience with products in areas of Data Integration, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Big Data & Cloud. You are self-confident and self-reliant in conducting meetings and presentations to all levels in the enterprise. You have an innate ability to understand the requirements of the financial services sector and tailor solutions to reflect their data and business requirements. You’re a natural at building and fostering relationships and effective in your written and spoken communications. Your previous experience should highlight how critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving have been used in the pursuit of business objectives. Being resourceful, you’re able to problem solve outside your areas of expertise and others would say that you are exceptionally thorough, have great attention for detail, and follow-through. The role will focus on the Financial Services sector, prior pre-sales experience in this sector is a must.

Your Responsibilities

o You’ll work with Sales and extended teams to define and execute account plans and sales strategies for pursuing specific opportunities and strategic account management.
o The tasks you will perform include qualifying specific opportunities technically, determine and discover needs and validate the Informatica proposed solution for technical closure.
o You’ll be assisting prospects in developing the business case for acquiring Informatica’s products and also to identify and understand the business issues that our solution can affect.
o In addition, you’ll be expected to explain the benefit and value of adopting Informatica’s products (including but not limited to their architecture, features, technical/business benefits, etc...) to prospects through presentations, detailed discussions, demos, and other proof points in order to reinforce the value proposition. It’s your responsibility to manage all activities as part of the technical sales cycle.
o Co-ordinate demonstrations to clearly articulate to the prospect the business value of the Informatica platform. Moreover, you’ll draw on your domain expertise and practical experience to become a trusted advisor to the prospect’s technical and business teams. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
o Provide Product Management, Product Marketing, and other teams with input and feedback on product direction, individual features, and market positioning.
o Compose and publish external facing white papers, case studies, webzine articles, articles for technical/industry magazines, etc.
o Secure and execute speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events, and user groups.

Your Qualifications

o A University degree or equivalent industry experience.
o Strong understanding of the business drivers and challenges facing the financial services industries.
o Proven consultancy experience, core listening, interpersonal and communication skills.
o At least 5 years of solutions architect experience in large scale financial institutions, developing the following business capacities:
• Data Integration.
• Data Quality.
• Master Data Management or a related discipline.
• Data Governance.
• Big Data.
• Data Security.
o TOGAF or similar accreditation advantageous.
o Ability to communicate a technical message to a non-technical audience as well as a technical audience.
o Presentation skills, both verbal delivery and content design.
o Ability to work as part of a virtual team in delivering a proposal.
o Ability to read, write, speak and understand Portuguese fluently.
o Ability to read, write, speak and understand Spanish and English.
o Willingness to travel 50%.

Desired Qualifications

o Informatica Products previous experience.
o Pre-sales prior experience in a software vendor.
o Experience with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, Salesforce, Google GCP, etc.).
o Experience with Hadoop ecosystems (Cloudera, Hortonworks, EMR, etc.).
