Your Opportunity

We want enthusiastic inside sales professionals with a penchant for detail and a knack for verbal persuasion. As a key member of the newly created Cloud Inside Sales hub for APJ, you’ll actively follow up sales leads, inbound calls and customer calls developing cloud sales leads within a defined geographical and/or horizontal territory. You will have the opportunity to succeed as a salesperson for a global leader in a growing industry. Informatica is looking for proven telesales experience, inter-personal skills and energy to meet team goals in this exciting regional sales model. This position will be based in Sydney and reports to the Inside Sales Lead/Manager.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll be required to sell Informatica’s cloud products and services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory, industry, or accounts and be measured on the closure of those sales. You will generate prospective customers through cold calling and qualify and follow up with sales leads.

Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities and will require application of in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems and services May be responsible for large, diverse, complex territories and/or products.  

This role is overlay to the field sales force, typically supporting the initiatives of the field sales organization and carrying an individual or team quota that is shared with the field.  Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, as well as the competitive posture of the company, and prepares activity and forecast reports as requested.   You may direct customers to website or other company resources for information and in some accounts, act as sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, and/or products.  

You may also be required to work with and maintain relationships with channel account managers to continue those relationships and leverage deals.   Minimal business travel or work outside office required.  

Functioning knowledge of Cloud software solutions, Data Management, Database, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products is vital to the role.

Your Qualifications

  • College degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Telesales experience a must
  • 3+years Sales/Lead Generation experience with at least 2 years in a closing role;
  • 3+ years of relevant experience with High School Diploma
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex sales cycles and closing deals
  • Experience selling enterprise cloud software licenses
  • Knowledge of navigating business organization structures, buying influences and purchasing processes
  • Computer skills and aptitude required
