Your Opportunity

 

We are seeking a technically adept, collaborative sales engineering professional to join our team. You’ll work with other members of the pre-sales team to address the technical needs of potential customers and close new business deals from sales leads. In this role, you’ll serve as a counsellor and advisor to customers and a technical coach to co-workers, providing advice and guidance throughout the sales cycle. Since the pre-sales team is responsible for capitalizing on new business leads and opportunities, members of the pre-sales team are instrumental to Informatica’s future growth in the region.

Whether it’s an initial product evaluation, competitive proof point, or addressing technical pain points, you’re willing to take the time to provide deep explanations and find solutions where needed. You find a collaborative work environment rewarding yet are equally adept at and content working independently. As an influential and effective sales consultant, you are eager to share your knowledge and best practices and to develop and sustain an open line of communication with your supervisor and teammates. If your team members or customers are in remote locations, you are comfortable with frequent travel in order to engage face-to-face. In addition, you have the following attributes:

  • An ability to rapidly understand and translate client’s business challenges and concerns into a solution oriented discussion.
  • Persuasive communication skills for presenting to all customer levels, from CTOs/CIOs, to engineering managers and programmers.
  • Resourcefulness, creativity and strategic thinking for troubleshooting database and application problems.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

Work with Sales Teams and Extended Teams to define and execute account plans and sales strategies for pursuing specific opportunities and strategic account management 

  • Assist prospects in developing the business case for acquiring Informatica’s products and to identify and understand the business issues that our solution can affect 

  • Explain the benefit of Informatica’s products including but not limited to their architecture, features, technical/business benefits, etc. to prospects through presentations, detailed discussions, demos, and other proof points to reinforce the value proposition 

  • manage the definition and delivery or Proof of Concepts/Custom Demonstrations to clearly articulate to the prospect the business value of the Informatica platform 

  • Provide Product Management, Product Marketing, and other teams with input and feedback on product direction, individual features, and market positioning 

  • Compose and publish external facing white papers, case studies, webzine articles, articles for technical industry magazines, etc. 

  • Secure and execute speaking engagements at industry conferences, partner events, and user groups 

 

  • Consistent regular attendance at work 

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities 

 

 

Your Qualifications

 Demonstrates a good conceptual or practical experience with products in areas of Data Integration, Data Quality, Master Data Management 

  • Demonstrates the ability to be self-confident and self-reliant in conducting meetings and presentations to all levels in the enterprise  

  • Ability to understand different vertical markets and tailor product presentations to reflect data and business requirements  

  • Possesses as a natural with building and fostering relationships and effective in written and spoken communications with critical thinking, reasoning, and problem solving being strong suites 

  • Ability to problem solve outside area of expertise to act resourceful while holding a great attention to detail and follow-through  

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • 5 years’ minimum of implementation and pre-sales experience with Data Integration, Data Quality, and Master Data Management or a related discipline
