As a Sr. TSE, you will provide both customer support and technical support to customers, as required to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with Informatica and its products, thus contributing to long-term customer loyalty.  You will work closely with the rest of the Informatica support team, QA, Engineering, and Doc to ensure that Informatica is delivering overall superior service and support to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a very high level of Customer Satisfaction while meeting SLAs and other internal goals
  • Be willing to work with the customer on anything that impedes their attaining a high level of satisfaction with Informatica.  This includes issues with Informatica products, underlying technologies, Operating Systems, Database systems, communications systems, performance, training issues, or any other issue impacting customer satisfaction
  • Provide clear and timely communications with customers at all levels
  • Ensure all issues are resolved and if necessary, escalated to the proper levels in a timely fashion
  • Attain and Maintain proficiency in the OSes and Data Sources supported by the product lines handled by the Support Team you are joining
  • Keep your management informed of progress and issues
  • Utilize Informatica provided problem tracking tools to properly document the progress of each issue
  • This position requires participation in an On Call rotation

      Requirements

  • 5+ years experience
  • Candidate must have a high level of drive with a solid commitment to doing whatever is necessary to maintain a high level of Customer Satisfaction
  • A demonstrated ability to work with customers and properly represent the company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision within areas of competence
  • Ability to be a Team Player who shares ideas and resources
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Experience as a Support Professional
  • Solid understanding of Relational Database Concepts
  • Advanced User level knowledge of Oracle
  • User level knowledge of at least one of these relational databases: DB2 LUW, MS SQL Server, MySQL
  • Advanced User level knowledge of Windows, and UNIX/Linux
  • Willingness to work whatever hours are needed in order to support your customers. 

Valuable but not required:

  • DBA experience
  • Application Programing experience
  • Systems Programmer or Systems Admin experience
  • Experience working with Informatica PowerCenter and PowerExchange CDC
  • Network Admin experience
  • Experience on iSeries (AS/400) based systems
  • Experience on zSeries (MVS) based systems
  • Experience with Teradata, Netezza, or GreenPlum
