Position Title: Sr Director, Field Enablement

External Description:

We are looking for an innovative Technical Enablement Director to develop high-quality technical training and resources for our internal Pre-Sales Consultants, Implementation teams as well as our partner community. As a pivotal member of the Enablement team, this leader will be responsible for driving, designing, planning, organizing, and developing training materials, resources, and events in support of Informatica’s Technical Enablement efforts.  You will be tasked with the implementation of new key initiatives that support our client-facing teams across all 3 global theaters.   The ideal candidate will demonstrate individual resourcefulness, and a drive to get things done with a collaborative, ‘make it happen’ approach.

Key goals and responsibilities include:

This role will act as a strategic, tightly aligned partnership with the GEO sales, presales and customer success leaders.  You will be setting our overall enablement strategy as it relates to the interaction of our presales resources and ensuring that they are at the forefront of our business and continue to be instrumental in our success as a company.  You will ensure that our field technical organization, implementation services and partner ecosystem have the knowledge and skills needed for effective representation of our solutions while cross pollenating  information and expertise between the different teams.

  • Be the professional conduit between company executives and the strategy created for technical enablement
  • Be tightly aligned to all stakeholders in product marketing, product management and implementation / support services
  • Create the Technical Enablement strategy & process for our global Sales Consultant team to include, but not limited to, program management, documentation, curriculum, goals, execution, process improvements
  • Devise technical training programs according to organizational and solution requirements
  • Produce training schedules and classroom agendas for the 3 audiences served
  • Provide the ability for pre-sales consultants to have greater visibility in the organization through participation in field training initiatives or success deep dives.
  • Define course content according to objectives and requirements for onboarding the technical resources in the field.
  • Work with internal teams to create and package high-value, easy-to-use field tools (technical guides, training decks, demos, etc.).
  • Determine success measurement and metrics of programs developed and delivered and gain buy in from field technical leadership.
  • Assess overall effectiveness of programs and make needed improvements
  • Collect feedback from partner community and internal field org on effectiveness of tools and continuously work to improve quality of content, format, and delivery worldwide.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of technical marketing, training, sales enablement, or related field experience
  • 3–5 years managing a team of high performing, field-based sales consultants
  • Direct customer sales experience to include customer responsibilities, prospecting, supporting and alignment to technical presales resources
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment and quickly learn new concepts
  • Direct experience in technical training and content strategy
  • A history of success planning and leading complex, cross-functional projects
  • Excellent creative skills with confirmed ability to craft compelling training and resources
  • Ability to visually translate technology features and concepts into clear benefits
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong social skills; someone who leads by inspiring; enjoys working with others in a collaborative, social environment; effective at building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Passion for excellence and high quality in the finished product; acute attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, with ability to work with little definition and without supervision while multi-tasking and prioritizing across a number of projects and initiatives
  • A dual-minded approach: highly creative and excellent at developing field resources, while also process-driven, relying on facts and data to make decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree. Masters preferred
