Your Opportunity

As a key member of the QA team, you will work on MDM product advocating and vetting functional and non-functional requirements; You will test and critique software components and interfaces in great technical depth, write test programs to assure high product quality, and automate them using available framework and working proactively with architects, consultants and developers to evaluate approaches and POCs for larger, design-related issues.

Your Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be based in Toronto, Canada and will:

  • Automation first approach to Design and development of test plans, test cases based upon functional and design specifications
  • Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
  • Design, develop and maintain test programs including test tools and automated test suites
  • Work closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve any issues
  • Participate in product functional reviews, test specifications, documentation review.
  • Communicate effectively with developers and QA peers and other stakeholders in the QA organization.
  • Comfortable to work in an agile process and practices
  • Execute planned testing tasks and provide timely and accurate analysis of findings
  • Utilize analytical skills in determining the root cause of problems
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  • Suggests major enhancements to existing product that contributes to product goals.
  • Able to estimate and perform risk analysis for large features

Your Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar technical discipline; advanced degree a plus
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience, a portion of which was within an enterprise software company with an emphasis on one or more of the following:
    • Strong programming skills in Core Java
    • Experience in scripting language or exposure to multitude of automation frameworks
  • Experience in designing and developing automation framework and using test tools for Rest APIs or UI automation. Full-stack preferable.
  • Ability to understand a large system/application environment including the practical knowledge of availability, scalability, clustering aspects, configurations.
  • Experienced in Agile software development methodology and software development process (SDLC)
  • Experience with one of the major database platforms (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server)
  • Experience with Cloud based application/platform is a plus
  • Proven ability to work well with others in a fast paced, iterative product definition and development environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt to the rapidly changing marketplace and willingness to learn new technologies as they evolve
  • Highly motivated, results-driven self-starter who is also a collaborative team player
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with business and technical audiences
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills
